Are you sure they are gears? Or are they gear appearances? If they are visual appearances for you can apply them on any gear on the gears page using F key. Just hover over the active gear and the option to change appearance of gear will appear.

Update 4 is today's patch. I have it because I've purchased the game before the crack was even out for cheap. I'm currently testing to see if the EMPRESS crack works on it. It launched fine but I don't think all of the updates that were mentioned in the patch notes are actually being applied.

You can't Just separatelly update a Denuvo cracked game, the only way to have a game updated is cracking the game in that update already

Do not apply the crack to update 4 everyone. It does not work properly. The shader cache does not get built at all and a couple of updates are being applied at the .exe level. The game will launch and play but you will not receive some of the patches that were included in this update.
