hi guys, i switched from steam to empress version and its safe to say that the game power management sucks so bad, im on RTX 3090ti with Ryzen 9 5950x, the game doesn’t manage to use them fully or properly
my all time highest gpu usage was 80%
i tried every single way to improve it, but no luck
i tried newer DLSS
I TRIED ACENDIO II
MY GRAPHICS SETTING ARE ALL ULTRA AND DLSS SET TO QUALTY
RUNNING AT 4K Resolution
some of the time i get the 60FPS but in Open areas it dips to Even 33 FPS!!!

But if she waited until this game was in a better state instead of cracking as soon as it launched, it would have been a better experience overall for everyone. IDK if any moderators can see this, but you may want to make another pinned message that the pre-release version is by far the best way to play the game, and that update 3 works, but is not recommended. Any update after update 3 will not work at all. The game will launch and run, but most updates will not be applied and the shader cache will not be built at all.

Go on Steam and read the patch notes. They pretty much fixed a lot of problems. One of the main reasons for the stuttering was actually due to a memory leak, which was fixed. Ray tracing has also been improved tremendously, as well as further shader cache optimizations which have pretty much eliminated all stutters. The previous versions were having issues building the shader cache, which is why it stutters so much.

That's also why a lot of people kept seeing the shader cache being built every time they launched the game. It was completely broken, but now that its working all the stutters are gone. Hopefully EMPRESS will release a new crack based on update 4 or when the game is completed with no more patches being released. (I doubt it)

I was testing update 3 and it's true the cache no longer compiles in general it's fine but large parts of the area or cinematics speaking with npc drop the FPS too much even though the game in exploration and combat is much better at least for me , I use an i3 8100 and a GTX 1650 ventus xs

How is this a patch if we are replacing the exe from a previous version, doesn't make sense to me

I7 920 CPU with an GTX970 and non ssd on sata3.
Worked. Not great but when the scene was loaded it had 30-50FPS
