Super washed out, got a mod on Nexus that improved it a bit, forgot the name. Turning brightness down a lot helped tooz

Ascendio lite is the most demanding setting of that mod. Use the recommended setting, it should give you a performance gain. Lite is for people with the best/near best hardware that are having issues as an attempt to resolve a couple of common issues that cause framerate spikes

The data stream pool is altered. Which makes it so that textures load slower. This boosts frames around 20fps on average but whenever you enter a room it takes like 5 seconds for all the textures to load in to the desired quality.

Totally worth it imo. But I can totally understand that is not the case for everyone.

So i think they do something strange like TikTok does that no matter what type of content you do or no matter in which language they will still recommend you only to the country the video was uploaded something like a geographical LOCK ... i am not sure but it was like this for me I uploaded on 2 channels and only people from my country were watching my videos commenting in my native language hating me for the reason " WHY DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH IF YOU ARE FROM X COUNTRY " ... now you will understand why i approached the English way.

Pull up Task Manager with the game running and you'll be able to see how much regular memory it's using. VRAM capacity only really affects things like textures and stuff that are loaded into the GPU when the game is running.

If you're playing in 1080p, 4-6GB should be enough. Using high-res texture packs can cause VRAM usage to increase, but playing vanilla you should be fine.

you will have pretty nasty issues unless you use very low graphics and no ray tracing, but just try, you have to experiment with settings

The ascendio installer installs to the wrong folder. It's modifying the engine.ini file which is in your save folder which is appdata/local/Phoenix whereas the release game (and all mods targeting it) will be looking for appdata/local/HogwartsLegacy. Easiest thing to do is just to apply the mod using the installer, then move the engine.ini file from ..\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\ to the ..\AppData\Local\Phoenix\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\ folder.

Or you could get really fancy, and just make a symlink that redirects from the Phoenix save folder to the Hogwarts Legacy one, and then you never have to worry about moving files again. The game will pull from "Phoenix" but that folder is just a shortcut to the retail "Hogwarts Legacy" folder, so everything just works after that.

to make a symlink in windows, just open command prompt as admin, navigate to the appdata\local folder then the command is

mklink /d Phoenix "Hogwarts Legacy"

mklink is used for creating symbolic and hard links in windows. the "/d" parameter is used to specify we want to target a directory and not a file. the next word is the name of the "fake" directory name we want to use and the final part is the folder we want to point that fake directory to.

I'm sorry if any of this is confusing. If it is, just don't do it. For those that know, I hope it saves you some headache. I can't provide support for this recommendation, so only make these changes if you have a general idea of what you are doing.
