I would suggest getting the crack only files and re applying them. If it doesnt work just uninstall with revo uninstaller and then do fresh install. Make an exception to ur games folder on ur anti virus is also recommended.

Did you disable Windows defender before extracting Emp.dll?
Because otherwise the file is either in quarantine or erased and you'll have to download it again.
No need to disable antivirus tho, just create an exception for the specific file

I don't know who Rex is, but I cut and pasted the original files (exe included) to a backup folder, then moved the update files to the correct paths and re-applied the crack, everything works.
Also, in case you installed Ascendio or other performance fix mods in the original version it would be better to update them (if a newer version from Nexus was released)
