Have you tried turning it down for just the field guides? Hl has n ungodly amount of memory leaks. I’m personally convinced most crashes people have are due to triggering a memory leak.

Turning it down then get field guide page may give you an extra bump in free resources to at least make it past.

I think preferences for the games saved here, and saves too. If you delete this folder, and innstall game again, game will create new one. So you can run the game, but its not solve the upscale trouble unfortunately

They're cached every time you boot the game, the initial boot caches the shaders, then every other boot is faster because it's loading the cache. If you don't see the screen at all the compilation is BROKEN. Please stop speaking about shit you have no idea.
