I don't see why not, just add the mod the same way you would if it was a legit copy. Just take the files from the mod and place them where they need to go in the game folder. Just check if the mod is compatible with the version of the game you have.

The game has a memory leak issue too. I've the same ram and without a optimizer, the game will leak until I'm at 95%+ memory and then it runs horrible
