I'm currently working on simple cheat (external + internal parts) to learn more about game hacking.
Right now i'm a bit stuck on some features that i do not know how to implement.
I can't find information on these topics.
So i hope some of you who familiar with these topics can give me some clues about in which direction i should look (of cource i do not ask for a complete solution)

1) In my cheat external part is responsible for drawing ESP on screen. But data, that requires to draw boxes (position, color) should come from internal part of the cheat.
How exactly it is implemented in "commercial" cheats or in general (considering that it should not affect game perfomance much and be rendered about at 60 fps)?
Currently i'm reading about IPC (Interprocess Communications) and found some libraries that work well in my case but i'm still don't sure which way is the best.
I'm mostly interested not in "how" implemented, but rather "why it implemented this way" in commercial products.
Some benchmarks for different types of IPC will be cool, but i know that i'm asking for too much already.

2) Some my friends who were playing with payed cheats are telling me that they using shadowplay to record their gameplay and esp was not showed on their videos.
We talking about desktop recording feature, not game window recording (because they are playing in borderless mode).
So somehow external esp is hiden from shadowplay recording?
I read about different things, like using xbox game bar overlay or steam overlay or drawing in nvidia share overlay and of cource right now i'm drawing my own overlay with WS_TOPMOST style and all, but all this things are visible in recording by shadowplay (obviously) in "desktop recording mode".
So... how you can achieve something like this?
