Dude, it literally was fixed by just pasting the old empress hpl exe in after the extraction of the update. It'll be the same fix for buddy that I was telling I had the same issue. The linked update 3 has the noncracked exe in there.

Its just that the exe was the vanilla uncracked. Simply replacing it with the empress iso one and leaving literally everything else there fixed it, I'm playing right now.

If the file name is nvngx_dlss.dll then it will update your dlss. If it is nvngx_dlssg.dll with g in the end then it's a frame generator dlss it won't work

The issue you facing is Direct X files missing error.
Re installing Direct X is the best thing to do as if you paste them manually some new file missing error will come and there are thousands of them so you will not be able to manually do it.

these are the locations where the dlls goes but some games have a failsafe and also checks the same directory as the executable can't say about Hogwarts Legacy.

I got a question. After update 3, does the shader compilation screen dissapears when launching the game or is it a bug?

if you update the driver , in most cases , in your first start after the update your game startup will freeze and can stay frozen in black screen or loading screen upto 10-15 min max and then the game willl run .
The only benefit you will get after updating driver is nvidia game filtres

it ain't a bug , they intensionally disabled it , the game now compiles shaders when a new effect or thing pops up in screen , if you want to keep the shader pre caching and also get the update crash fixes , read my post

Copy the file in another path. Copy it in Documents or Download folder. Edit it, copy and paste it in the game folder replacing the original file.

Hogsmede FPS is not that good other areas FPS is fine

Someone said that it is some denuvo trigger, that checks the windows date. Try to change the windows date to the late february.

Yea it doesn’t throw an error or anything just simply quits out and back to the desktop

I just reverted the date on my pc to feb-25. I’ll update if it works
