8gb ram and 1050ti, saved on nvme... plays surprisely okay, not a lot of stuttering. Have had to set everything to low, 1080p however and locked to 30fps.
Not the greatest experiences looks wise but its stays 30fps consistently and doesnt stutter all that often.

Installed Update 3 correctly. Game crashed within a few minutes. Reverted nvidia driver to 528.49, game crashed in the exact same way. Attempted update 4, error with certain files missing. Reverted back to original Empress version of the game but staying on 528.49 for now, happy days. Was worth a shot considering everyone has different experiences on different hardware however for me with an i9-9900k, RTX 2080S & 16GB Ram, it ended up not working out. So take everyones advice and dont waste your time unless you can be bothered to give it a go ;)

I'm tutoring assembly for my university. That's closer to cracking drm than the vast majority of people will ever get, but it is still so far from cracking protections that it isn't even vaguely a possibility.
I don't even know how to begin attacking a protection, my approach when given the most possible basic virtualization was to guess and check the virtual instruction set.

Tbh writing scientific books now is a bad idea. That's why scientists tend for a shorter form - articles, reviews. 10 years after your book will be not very useful as more knowledge will be accumulated

Because what's revolutionary now will be in a scientific book, organized and summarized 30 years later.
Papers are "hot", scientific books are "cold", and are written after a sufficient amount of evidence is built.

Some chapters and chunks may need revisiting of course, but not the entire corpus of the book; that's why different editions exist. On top of that the reasoning of the specific field of science the book presents is much more friendly than a bunch of papers you'll have to look for, mixed between all in arxiv, scihub or any serious scientific magazine.

Summarizing, scientific books comply a dual utility:

• Serving as a summary of a certain well-established field for those who want to learn it from scratch (with the neccesary mathematical knowledge), or need consulting. They are a "cold" storage of knowledge in comparison with the "hot", volatile, and not yet well enough established knowledge of the scientific papers.

• Making said field more user-friendly/accessible for those interested, as a consequence of the work of organization of the sub-topics they do.

Assembly is a way to reverse and understand devs protection source code -> exploit the vulnerability

to be able to crack a protection, you need to first understand at a high level how the protection works, so you can theorize possible methods of attacking, then you need to understand the minutae of how the protection is implemented, so you can actually write the tools to devirtualize, or write a keygen, or patch the checks

Books take too much time and effort to get published that by the time they do it contains old info. Books contain abstract of articles.

And most profs ask to read articles over books because articles are up to date and mostly because they contain info relevant only to specialized field.

I had to reapply the crack, and then it worked. dunno if that would work for you . copy the crack over again, and overwrite files .

Frontend is way more rewarding for me, backend is another level of pain

FOR ANYONE WITH "EMP.DLL NOT FOUND" ERROR:

Microsoft updated windows defender so now it false flags the crack on purpose, so you need to either disable it or put the game folder in the exceptions.

If you don't know how to do that, follow this to put it in the exceptions:
