Microsoft updated windows defender so now it false flags the crack on purpose, so you need to either disable it or put the game folder in the exceptions.

and caused my Hogwarts and other things to reset their settings, which forced me to start the game with setting everything again, which forces you into Character Creation.
That, in turn forced me to be pissed off and close the game which was a bad idea because the settings were only half done and it bugged everything

dont use ray tracing, it's more of a party trick/gimmick, than a real feature. trust me - give reshade a try. More often than not, it will make your game look just a tad bit better enough.

Try [ Win + R ] then, type [ %appdata% ]. You'll probably end up in the [ ...\AppData\Roaming ] folder. The Hogwarts Legacy folder will probably not be in there, but just check.

If not, go back 1 folder so you are in [ ...\AppData ] and go to [ Local ]

Search for the [ Hogwarts Legacy ] folder, go to [ Saved ] > [ SaveGames ]

ignore all the brackets [ ] . they just differentiate between instruction and a command/folder

for me there was no hogwarts legacy folder, just a pheonix folder which contained all the saves and the config files

i've done that

maybe there is an old save folder or maybe all your saves are renamed to [ Savefile.dat.old ] or smth and you can remove the [ .old ] part

but it didn't do anything for me
