But if that is enough to improve performance and not further break stuff then that is fine. After All, you can always revert back with backup or just reinstall if you didn't make any backup.

FOR ANYONE WITH "EMP.DLL NOT FOUND" ERROR:

Microsoft updated windows defender so now it false flags the crack on purpose, so you need to either disable it or put the game folder in the exceptions.

If you don't know how to do that, follow this to put it in the exceptions:

in the first version there is even loading screen just for shaders load so Im not sure buddy.. Worked fine by me, same with update 2 on it now

try setting shader chache to unlimited on nvidia settings tho, works smoother for me
