Denuvo is there for protecting the initial sales, and in that field it performs way better than the average unlike many other DRM software around that gets cracked on day zero. Some guys seem just not to be able to accept reality as it is now.

Big companies don't usually care about their games having their initial releases being cracked after several weeks or even months (we ain't even gonna enter in DLC or updates territory whenever they come with updated denuvo protection measures), they do care about the initial boom on sales for which they made all the marketing campaign.

Nowadays, denuvo makes money because it does the desired job for those who pay for it. On top of that, there is very little user transfer from "legit" to "cracked" due to subscription-based services (as well as other factors). Those who download and use cracked games will still be doing it, but those who really pay for them won't stop doing so either, and it's the first number that rises much less than the second even despite the lack of quality of initial releases of AAAs.

The Hogwarts Legacy game, It was running well, installed it with my AV on, no problems until one very fine day i uninstalled my AV (McAfee) installed IoBit Malware and then uninstalled the same and re-installed McA .. an Dll file was recognized as Virus, trojan to be specific and i wasn't able to play the game anymore.
