Context: So there is this game where we meet a clinically insane mad scientific at some point, and I was finding old video tapes of his "old self" throughout the game.
We learn more and more about his life and the experiments he was doing that led to his "actual state".. then there was that final tape of him asking me to kill his "future self" (who is currently madly crazy) even if the latter discourages us from doing so.
Unsurprisingly, arrived the moment we meet him face to face, he was looking barely human, was crying and begging for mercy. We have to make the moral choice: spare or kill?

Thoughts:
### The person talking in the tapes no longer exist, his memories and past experiences included, all gone and the "person" in front of us has his own personality with new memories and experiences (even his name is different).
So, should we consider them as 2 different persons ?
### Okey, what if it's our body and soul that makes us us and consider the person speaking in the tapes and the one in front of us as the same and unique person, but there is still an issue: should we respect the request of his "old self" and kill him just because it's the one who was the first to exist (but that no longer does) or grant his "actual self" mercy and spare him because it is the current and existing one (but wasn't first)..
So, whose request should be respected then?
