Here's what you gotta do, which, from what I'm observing, might be what you already figured out which, good on you. You need to make it short, sweet, and to the point. Maybe a simple time line. Be sincerely apologetic. I'm going to emphasize, after you do this, you need to step away. Ignore them. Leave your post with that there, put up a tweet if you feel the need, but after that, act as if it never happened. As for their accusations, I do not believe you are a grooming, pedophile abuser. I do hold the controversial opinion that, certain legal but still morally dubious kinks and pornography creates a potentially unsafe environment for children, so there should be great care to separate the two in such a way they never meet. So to me, you're only guilty of being a bit negligent and irresponsible, however, I do see an effort after 2015 to separate these aspects more cleanly, so I think you kinda get it. But I want you to consider something. This is a fandom that, two years ago, blew up as having active underground telegram rings of not just zoosadist animal abusers, but also, if you were not aware, an actual, seemingly large, "real life cub" ring that was linked to it. There were people, from what I read digging into what i could stomach from the direct leaks, who were in fact grooming very young children, attempting to find very young children to groom, discussing ways to not get caught grooming other people's children, just the most heinous shit you can imagine as a parent. I want you to consider that it might not be enough to simply superficially separate these two aspects of your life but still, realistically, be so involved in the fandom and have your family involved with conventions that it does pose a real danger. I wish it didn't dude, I really do, I'm in fact a parent of a toddler who made the decision to leave the furry fandom and no longer publicly be involved with things like meets and cons after what I discovered.

I think you would extinguish a great deal of fire under your ass, and benefit psychologically and socially, if you made a decision to stop openly involving your children tangentially in the fandom. That means, no more public commissions of their fursonas, no more constant private details about your parenting life, no more bringing the kids to conventions. This isn't a new problem, even, back in 2008 my old friend Sam and I witnessed a drama where a woman made a furaffinity and a "real babyfur" account and fursona for her baby, it was, at first, a big jest that was "all in harmless fun." Do you know what ended up happening? A pedophile finally pmed her asking if he could sexually role play his babyfur character with her real life kid's fursona, and implied heavily that he wanted to extend this "role play" into meeting the child in real life for sexual purposes. She was, understandably horrified, and ended up getting involved with the police and with their advice, deleting fucking everything associated with her family.
