I have an exciting life here. I surf the internet and serve our household. I read about and talk to people about all the exciting things they are doing. Iād like to do a few of those things, from time to time.
At this convention, Biggest Little Fur Con, I will be able to meet my friends Iāve only talked to online ā have dinner with them, chat, hang out. The amenities at Grand Sierra hotel resort are amazing: go karts, bowling, golf driving range, and a brand new swimming pool area.
Lagarto has pythons. 10 pythons. Iād like to pet a python. Yes, they are gentle. No, they donāt bite people.
Iāll be helping to assemble a new product line. Leather used to be the only material used by Lagarto, now heās offering BioThane, a PVC coated poly webbing that is stronger than leather, and can be washed. Thereās a lot of items to build, and Iām interested in learning about itā¦and the other products made of leather.
Iām told I can be very useful as a production helper for at least a solid week. The extra time of my being in Denver will allow me to be a tourist ā standing atop Mount Evans at 14000 feet (thereās a road that takes visitors to near the summit), walking around downtown, Elitch Gardens amusement park, driving on canyon roads, hiking, just basically enjoying the Rocky Mountains.
The bus is slow, Iāve looked at it, and it will take 2 days to get from here to Denver. If I left tomorrow, I would have 10 days there before the truck gets loaded.
Loading of the truck happens on Monday May 7th. Driving from Denver to Reno is Tuesday, May 8th, arriving on Wednesday, May 9th. On Thursday the 10th, the store is set up in the convention vendors area. Friday through Sunday is selling, and taking apart the store, putting everything back in the truck.
Iāll be getting a ride home on Monday the 16th, and will be home safe late that evening.
