General GunTuber thread

Beretta is one of the few Euro companies that knows how to sell in the US (Sig is another, but their current product line is gay). I have a feeling a lot of Euro gun companies feel they will receive backlash if their products end up being used by MK-ULTRA assets and thus reframe from properly exploring the US market.
Sig is just HK's socially stunted boohoo little brother.

They are not perfect either, unfortunately. Although this might have changed in recent times with the 92X Performance, in the past Beretta imported very limited amounts of certain Italian-manufactured pistols, frame safety-models in particular. Examples include the elusive 92 Stock and Combat-series, the latter being one of the most delightful pistols i have shot.

The MCX will suffice for me.

The SIG NGSW-AR is apparently quite nice. Their recoil reduction system they put in the gun apparently leads it to recoil the same as a M4 despite shooting the Armies super wizbang 6.8 magnum.

I am somewhat skeptical of such claims, recoil tends to be visibly omnipresent even in the most delicate designs specifically configured to minimize it's felt presence, Kriss Vector being one of the more well known examples. Reducing it's felt recoil to the level of a well-configured .308 battle rifle would already be quite an achievement.

Kriss Vector
iirc, the Vector redirects recoil, not minimize or eliminates it. i have dealer sample and it shakes quite badly, but is very easy to manage as the recoil is balanced via counterweight to reduce felt recoil and redirect the energy into and downward through the action, helping to keep things more or less centered.

Semantics, perhaps, yet that is precisely why i said 'felt presence', as even a quite heavy SMG/PCC of the space age variety doesn't suffice to dethrone Newton's third law. Recoil itself can be bargained and negotiated with, but not eliminated. Personally having some experience with the aforementioned firearm in it's semiautomatic manifestation, the weapon system is very enjoyable to shoot and controllable, yet the recoil is still well present. Perhaps it's culled semiautomatic form doesn't do the counterweight system justice?

I'm not sure I'd even call it a counterweight, it's more like sort of... almost vertical deadblow actuated by bolt travel or something?

It's still unlocked blowback, though a novel approach to it.
Anyway, NGSW promises the moon and the stars, but it's not gonna be able to deliver.

KE Arms has finished its carbon fiber handguards for pre-order through Brownells.

Also, he allegedly got banned from TikTok, which he simped for because of Bad Orange Man, due to Blunderbuss footage according to this video.
Imagine assuming that a chink social media platform is going to be gun-friendly just because it is rampant in the west!

There was a subsect of /k/ that hated Ian because of his appearance and mannerisms and he seems to be one of them. The common phrase is "long-haired(or ponytailed) liberal faggot".
It's just quite irrational. Every time someone brings up Ian in a positive context, that guy's just REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE SHIT DICK REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. I have noticed that in some videos he does not bother to do more research before he makes a video (it's a very slight tinge and definitely not like the most "kahntent creators" who just like "I couldn't be bothered to look it up, lol, that's why we're going to have a 20 minute video on the subject") but his stuff is solid and he work ethic is great. He's allowed to have shit takes too (like about Rhodesia) every once in a while, just like everyone else.

But it's like almost visceral hatred with that guy.

Yep. He's allowed to have opinions like anyone else and from what I saw when I met the guy a couple years ago, he's very private about his personal life. Karl is the genuine fucking weirdo.

That all being said, has Lyman Bishop of Hoplite armor been talked about in here? He likes to sperg about the Jews a lot on his social media and likes sending his customers UN helmet targets with orders of body armor.

I'm not sure if he applies as a guntuber, it's just interesting seeing how he runs his company and his social media page.

The fact that he is allowed to conduct himself in that fashion on social media in [$current_year + 6] makes me suspect is a fed.

They had almost zero experience injection molding and have almost zero experience with carbon fiber but the droogs line up to be beta testers.

It just shows, if you have a moderate youtube following, you can sell to 10% of them and retire. I really hope Karl got zero from this.

Why do you have a particular hate boner for Ian?

There was a subsect of /k/ that hated Ian because of his appearance and mannerisms and he seems to be one of them. The common phrase is "long-haired(or ponytailed) liberal faggot".

Someone in this thread asked me before and I explained it thus; Sometimes you just have an irrational dislike of someone. Why even bother bring it up, it's been awhile since that post? Does it really bother you so much that anonymous person on the internet doesn't like your youtube hero?

It's weird I don't agree with his takes on Rhodesia, or South Africa, yet at the same time anyone looking for genuine factual content on weapons from either country is going to end up watching his or Matthew Vickers videos.

Even with the attacks on South African farmers he didn't actually voice his opinions in the video.

He travelled to South Africa and mixed with a bunch of wealthy white south africans, who get along quite nicely with the ANC, and who don't like the way farm attacks are blowing back on them. So it's their opinions he's going to echo.

At the same time, he looked around for weapons to cover while he was there, and picked ones like the Musgrave pistol which just gives a brilliant insight into South Aftica post Apartheit.
