I think an atheist in a high magic setting could make sense. What's the difference between a divine being and someone using high level magic?
They'll both smite you, so none?

I remember reading some fantasy slock novel a long time ago where that was the twist. The "gods" were just a cabal of powerful wizards manipulating the world.I think an atheist in a high magic setting could make sense. What's the difference between a divine being and someone using high level magic?
The Divine Beings usually have Clerics, Paladins and Exarchs to smite you for them.I think an atheist in a high magic setting could make sense. What's the difference between a divine being and someone using high level magic?
Like Babylon 5. Ancient alien races. One that looked like angels, weren't divine beings at all. But they manipulated the younger races and some thought they were divine beings.I remember reading some fantasy slock novel a long time ago where that was the twist. This is a popular theme in sci-fi and fantasy on account of some people needing to have divine figures, but still not wanting to concede the idea that there may be genuinely divine beings in the universe. Ironically, a lot of these deconstructions end up fitting into Christian concepts of god, as the fact that these false divines are typically assholes using their power to demand worship fits into a popular interpretation of demons.Like Babylon 5. What can we say that a direct quote does not.
We still live under a justice system that assumes innocent until proven guitly. We are not a court of law.Moderator Text:
We've already threadbanned someone else for doing exactly this kind of derailment.
We've, in fact, been telling people this is not a proper response to abuse allegations for years.
Leave the thread, and take a warning. Do not do this again.
Ironically, this implies that the proper response to internet allegations is to grab your torches and pitchforks to crucify the assholeWhat can we say that a direct quote does not.
Well yeah, otherwise they might start noticing how many of the mods are rapey sex-pests themselves.Ironically, this implies that the proper response to internet allegations is to grab your torches and pitchforks to crucify the asshole
Progressives at work, everyone.

Wandered over to the Trouble Tickets forum tonight... Sometimes it's even more amusing than the Infractions forum, holy shit the amount of Mother-May-I that goes on. Best part is that the poor widdle overworked mods haven't handed down answers for any of these, all three have been sitting for a week.
Is this allowed? - user begs permission to post a scanned page and maybe a map from a book they own. Freaks out that it might be "PIRACY OH NOES!" (funny enough they just missed Talk Like a Pirate Day lol)
Question: In the Paizo scandal thread - user wants to know if it's (((kosher))) to discuss Paizo, in the thread about Paizo.
Media with a potentially offensive title - user pleads their case to discuss the comic "High Class Homos". Too bad it's not called Flaming Fantasy Faggots, it would describe the entirety of their user base.
(edited to add) - Potential Debt Ceiling thread? - can we talk about this political topic, on a website which seems to exist solely to talk about politics. Hey whaddya know, this one actually got an answer! Huzzah!
It's usually in the 150 range.Has anyone noticed their online member counts lately? This is the first time I've seen it crack 200 this week.
Unfortunately I checked the YouTube channel in question and didn't find the video, but I did find thisI'm so EXCITE!
A week from now I'll be streaming an ALL TRANSWOMEN game of Buried Without Ceremony's story game exploring the dissatisfaction that arises from trying to build a relationship both people's needs are only precariously met, A Place to Fuck Each Other, on Show Us Your Crits's adult stream. Written by ex-lovers Avery Alder and An Sheep, A Place to Fuck Each Other is a game about processing disillusionment, about seeing queer communities as they are and not as we fantasize they might be, about having three-quarters of your needs met.* You can check it out for yourself at https://buriedwithoutceremony.com/aplacetofuckeachother
The game will air on Thursday, July 30th, at 5pm Pacific / 8pm Eastern on Plexstorm: https://www.plexstorm.com/stream/showusyourcrits
And the video, like those of all of our games, will be archived at https://www.youtube.com/c/ShowusyourCrits/ Please subscribe! Every 100 subscribers, we will be giving away a piece of role-playing game memorabilia to a random follower! We're only 34 subscribers away from our next giveaway!
* Both summaries of what the game is about are almost verbatim from the rulebook, so as to allow the authors to define their work themselves.
I'm honestly surprised that he hasn't been canceled already more than that rpg.net is turning on him now. He's clearly an asshole, and he's a straight (I think?) white dude, and he's full of machismoAnd despite that sky high amount has still not delivered everything and his other one is piling up a bad reputation for him and everyone involved given how little progress has been made on it.
Wick's always been a tool of a person from what I can tell. A glance at the stuff he's written when reviewed by people willing to point out the smug makes that clear. I'm not going to change my stance on him because he's out of favour with rpg.net but I am amused given how determined they were to pander to exactly that sort of demographic newer projects he's been involved with.
Moral of the story: Sex with troons is always unsatisfying, and the troon cult is ultimately disillusioning.Has anyone here heard of the truly execrable RPG "A Place To Fuck Each Other"? It's a game about two women who want to fuck each other but the situation isn't quite right. The premise isn't great, but the rules are so lazy (and the writing style is so self-indulgent) that it turns what's merely cringe-worthy into an almost FATAL-tier game.
The rules basically boil down to
- 3 players each make a character with four traits: a character trait, a hairstyle, an astrological sign, and a name (you know, the four things that make up a woman)
- 2 of those players will roleplay their characters trying to have sex in a situation that isn't conducive to love-making
- The remaining player is going to describe why it's hard to get into the sex
- "Play until the characters are content or resigned, or until the players are."
Would it surprise you to find out that the writer, Avery Alder, is a transbian? Check out his game here!

Anyway, the reason I bring it up is because I came across this rpg.net post that I thought was hilarious

Usually trannies at least pass in their anime
If you have the powers of a God, act like a God, follow the rules of a God...
...you're a God.
It doesn't matter if you were originally three foxes in a trenchcoat or a bum on the side of the highway, you're still a God.
That's what all these fedora tippers forget.
The Gods in RPG's are Gods because they have the power and the followers to back it up.
