Of course it's possible. Get a recent iPhone, get Live2D, commission a model or use a pre-made one, set up OBS, and go live. Same thing the girls do. Go into Twitch under the "Japanese" tag and you'll invariably find some male vtubers (mostly lazily using pre-made models like the dog in the bowl) playing Apex or whatever.

Now if you want to be a successful male vtuber and make a living off of it, well, that part's up to you. I actually don't think even some of the more successful male streamers in agencies are making enough for it to be a full-time job, if you go by how often you see tips and subscriptions come in. But who knows. The market is ripe, I think.

Sure, there have been a number of successful male indies. You'll need to be more interesting than "guy who plays APEX" or "guy who plays Minecraft" to stand out, though.
