This has been torn apart already, but just another quick thing - calling $2k "really expensive" is hilarious. That can be expensive for an individual, but it's couch-cushion change for a company, and it'll be made back in minutes once the monetization opens.
I don't know about their other projects, but a VTuber project will pay for itself and any extra revenue is just gravy, as long as she's even moderately successful. Whatever their contract is with the streamer/VA, it's gonna be zero risk to the company.
That's amazing. Was she not streaming at the time? Wonder what her reaction was like.Yesterday, the #1 APEX player in the world 'rage quit' his stream after being killed by a Diamond 4 player.
His chat was more angry than he was, suggesting that the Diamond 4 player in question was being boosted or cheating in some way. No one seemed to recognise the name which made it even funnier.
Of all the game types they could have gone for, open world sandbox might be among the hardest to get right, especially for a "first" game (ping-pong doesn't really count). I hope they've got some sort of partnership, or at worst a consultancy from a company that's experienced in games. If they do it all in-house without bringing in expertise, it's probably gonna be shit.I think people here missed the news, but there's an update about HoloAlt, and its a big one. Massive, even
So apparently HoloAlt's main project now is a Metaverse named HoloEarth, just as Yagoo wanted in a certain Q&A. And on that front, they're going to make:
-An Open-World Sandbox game. Yes you read it right, a Hololive GAME
-"Communication Lobby", most likely something like a VRChat
-Avatar Creation System (exactly what it says)
They're also going to release other stuffs, like the Twitter Manga soon, and also disc release of HoloAlt's song. Oh, and there's also going to be a new PV in 2022. As for the game, they say the talents are going to play the prototype in November

So my prediction is correct, they really are going to make Hololive/Holostars more than just streaming, but also a multimedia group. So that's why they're insisting on keeping the lore going, especially with HoloCouncil. So that's why they seem to be very busy and delaying stuffs like costume and so. What surprised me is the game announcement. I know Yagoo wants to make a Metaverse, its the hottest stuff right now, but this soon? What a madlad...
Wasn't it more like 4.5K? At peak, anyway.By all accounts, having nearly 2K people watching Pomu take a shower on stream yesterday is a sign they're carving their way into the industry.
