Okay, this is certainly brutal, but consider this: Lowtax using the last of his cash and absconding into anonymity to avoid child support payments. Rich Kyanka is now Dick Akyanka getting high somewhere in South America while an empty casket is buried.

Since you mention those, Liveleak and Ogrish.

I'd say in hindsight Ogrish was probably a FBI honeypot just to round up the last of the serial killers left mulling around from the 70s/80s/90s.
