Its pretty cringe but then again to me most of these "meme reviews" seemed quite cringe anyways. The "jokes" are pretty stale but they are both extremely adorable. Also im quite impressed with Melody's model/emotes. Had not seen it before.

Imagine being ass mad that a talent left a company because they would constantly kneecap her whenever she wanted to collab or do anything out of the norm. The most baffling aspect of this Kiara-Pippa discourse is the idea that Phase Connect would literally ever get a collab with HoloEN and how Pippa has somehow ruined that 0% chance into an Ultra 0% chance.

LIke, I think we are capable of accepting that Pippa probably spoke out of turn without pretending it's been a huge detriment to their business prospects with a branch that wouldn't even let them collab with Coco fucking Kiryu, and has engaged with a whopping 0 other EN V-Tubers (1 if you count Pikamee I guess) in their 14 months of operation.

Edit: I didn't count Nyanners and Mousey because the comment doesn't want to include Niji or VShojo (I'm presuming because they're the other big companies). So yeah. 2 EN collabs (3 for Pikamee) otherwise.

Whether or not Holo is going to collab with outsiders is not the concern. The main issue is maintaiming a good relationship with all possible companies, Holo included. You never want to burn a bridge with potential collaboration partners.

She might as said them during a time when she thought there was 0% chance that she'd ever join a company, much less collab with a Holo talent. Now she will never have a chance to collab with any Holos for the forseeable future, and likely will have a hard time finding other people to collab with who still want to have an amicable relationship with Cover.

The Vtubing industry is unique in where frequent collaborations with competitors is the norm. This is unheard of everywhere else, hence you get ads where Pepsi shits on Coke or Burger King tells you they'll give you a free burger if you take a selfie at Mcdonalds.

I had to tune out at the start because the cringe level was too high, but it's great now that they're just talking normally (relatively, at least) and reviewing memes. Maybe it's just that the combination of high expectations & nervousness was too much, but I think if they did another collab it would be fine.

She's better off as an independent.

Her income hasn't suffered for it either, but it will be impossible to replace her relationships with the Hololive girls
(although apparently she can still collab with their roommates, so who knows)

I'm kind of torn about it, myself. Here's a spergy pro/con list:

Spoiler: Spoilered for length

Pros:

• The fact that Lily keeps it quiet means she's* not using it for some kind of weird social clout, like I see with a lot of "trans creators."
• SJW horseshit isn't part of her content or brand.
• Lily isn't loudly outspoken about it, and strikes me as the sort of person who just wants to exist. Might not be the most popular opinion here, but I didn't have a problem with the "transgender movement" or whatever, at first. I talk a bit about what changed my mind in this post, and it's not worth dragging this thread into a discussion about trannies.
• Lily's content is funny and entertaining, and I don't really care if it comes from a man, a woman, or a genderless space alien.

Cons:

• Having a bunch of trans friends means she's exposed to, and possibly agrees with, a lot of the lunacy that I can't stand about their movement.
• It really feels like being lied to. I'm glad it's not front and center, but not knowing at all feels weird. It's funny that trannies get so assblasted about being called a "trap" when that's sort of what this is.
• It makes the "little sister" roleplay they do feel really creepy. It was already kind of weird, this just tips it over the edge.
• Someone "being stealth" like this feels like being forced to partake in something, rather than choosing to. I probably wouldn't have cared if this was on the label, so to speak.

Overall, it doesn't change much, but it paradoxically also changes everything. I don't know if I'll continue watching.

* I couldn't decide whether to use "he," "she," or "they" for this post and honestly it doesn't matter. People who care about pronouns need to get real problems. I'll just use she because it's what I've always called her, and cop some autistic ratings if I must.

I have worked with germans and austrians before. They are some of the most miserble and anal/autistic people you could ever meet. They want to compete with everyone over the most petty of shit. They have to make the fastest coffee, have the nicest cubical, best looking girlfriend. When they don't have this they will get passive agressive and bitchy.

Anyone who's followed a competitive gaming scene that has Germans in it knows how fucking insufferably competitive they are. They also seem to be more likely to resort to cheating, and will get bitchy when they're caught, as if they deserved the victory by virtue of being who they are rather than any sort of actual merit.
