It's not just salesmen; older professionals seem to have the tendency to share unsolicited opinions. On a project I worked on years ago, the client contact shared his unsolicited opinions on what he thought about women in executive positions and the fact a woman was the liaison between him and our project team.
The biggest issue is that the far left seems to feel that courts of law should operate like the court of public opinion with guilt being assigned on perception only. Also, they feel that legal protections exist only for them and not their ideological opponents. It's ironic to see protestors call to defund the police and abolish prison in favor of "restorative justice" in one breath and use the next breath to demand their opponents be jailed forever or be subject to capital punishment.
I know people who feel OJ was guilty but also felt the prosecution badly botched the case. From what I recall, the DNA evidence wasn't handled properly and/or contaminated somehow. The vote to acquit seemed more like: (1) a statement against the prosecution presenting such a bungled case, and (2) the desire to not reward poor evidence handling with a conviction.
