...HE GOT $103! Jesus, how much money does this addict need for contributions to meet his expectations? $150 minimum? I genuinely don't understand why his whales even bother tipping because even when they do he says "If it weren't for HorseFucker55's $50 tip, we'd only be at $35 guys! That's unacceptable!"
It's like he's started separating the tips from his usual whales from the normal tips and he's seen that aside from whales, almost nobody's tipping or subbing. It's weird too because don't they know for only $100 he'll wear a vest and hat? That's some incredible bang for your buck, I don't get it!
This increased and unhinged addict behavior directed towards the expectation of an ever-increasing number attached to whatever arbitrary Tips Goal number the pig splattered all over his paypig leaderboard can be directly attributed to the “success” Phil experienced during the Vest Streak.
Quite a few of us expected this dunce to believe that whatever increase in income he experienced throughout one of the most peculiar years we’ve had this century would become the norm for his financial situation. On top of defrauding the WA state bankruptcy courts and offloading his debts onto his fellow taxpayers, Phil found himself with more disposable income that he’s had access to in over half a decade.
Per the bank statement leaks, his spending is just as unhinged, reckless, and unsustainable as his on-camera behavior. Phil prominently displays many of the key attributes of gambling addicts and alcoholics and such acuities are reflected in his spending habits as well as his overall views on life. His slow and steady physical and mental disintegration is being publicly chronicled on a daily basis; it’s like DSP is vlogging his decline for anybody to see but only those who bother to look seem to only care enough.
@actually has said it pretty succinctly: without the support of a few whales who have successfully hidden their true identity (rather poorly I should add), Phil would be dead in the water. Although his income has remained steady, it is not increasing enough to indicate an upward trajectory but has plateaued. Given his stature as a content creator and his awful reputation, Phil will never be a big YTer again or ever enjoy the success he’s had in his early content creation days. Hence why he clings to these glory days so frequently and leans on them so heavily to justify his overall raison d’etre.
What no one can predict is the mental state of his preferred whales and paypigs who will decide this man’s fate. And given who Phil is, it’s only a matter of time until he offends or tosses one or all of them aside like a used condom on the side of the road.
All of these factors permeate Phil’s peanut-sized brain and feed his anxieties subconsciously thus increasing his desire to escape his material reality. Hence why the constant hammering of hitting Tips Goals and generating as much accessible cash as quickly as possible, it’s his only way out of this Pavlovian Hell he has created for himself.
