More Battlefield shenanigans with Botan featuring Watame, giggles ensue.

Botan's POV

Watame's POV

As much I want to talk shit to Botan for using that stupidly OP PP-29 I can't. If she's enjoying that gun it's fine, but if she's using it as a crutch.

I feel like Vtubers (and Youtubers in general) know how to make their thumbnails to get viewers to go "well, ain't that cute.. let me pop in and watch a couple of minut- oh, it's been 6 hours". And you're disappointed not because she's using it as a crutch but because she's out K/D'ing you even when you do use the PP-29 :smug:

thank you for taking the time and sacrificing your will to live to go through Nuxfag's vid. So, it's a classic clickbait title but the content doesn't match up plus he may have inadvertently warned/scared off the actual "big fish" Vshojo's management and/or legal team were hoping to snag?

Nux definitely played a large part in advancing the Cybersecurity team's ability to track the doxxer down. Nux asked the doxxer's friend very nicely for his name and home address, which the friend provided. It's a perfectly legal transaction that the team was looking for. I don't want to make it sound like Nux didn't help because he did.

The question is how much he has undermined the efforts by making it public in the way he did.

I'm getting Yogventure vibes from this. And that is not a good thing considering what happened to that game.

I was thinking more along the lines of RWBY: Grimm Eclipse. A small and inexperienced team making a licensed game that vaguely resembles the source material, but also ends up leaving the player with little to do.

It's still very early in development, though it doesn't help they've already set a release window for '2023 at the latest' - Interpret that how you will - and are already showing gameplay which to me, who has had experience SCRUMming in game dev, doesn't necessarily fill me with confidence about its foundation.

A Japanese company wouldn't survive a Yogventure scandal, though, so you don't have to worry about that.

2023 seems like a good date for me, considering the young nature of VTubers industry. Besides, this most likely will be a live service game, so they can still update it along the way. And they clearly showed in the video that this is a work in progress, so they have no intention of lying to us (yet) with fake progress and such

Not saying Nyanners is in the right, I just don't think she's in the wrong. The original post was lathered with venom toward Nyanners and VSHOJO that framed any concerns she may have reasonably had as her just being 'buttmad' and I felt it was skewing opinions one way when we have little information on what's going on.

So I took the liberty of suffering through 12 minutes of Nux's video and, my rapidly depleting will to live notwithstanding, here's the rundown.

• He mentions on at least two occasions that he was fully aware he shouldn't be making the video, and that he 'called someone else' who told him it would be for the 'greater good' that he goes against their wishes.

• He details the passage of events chronologically, explaining in minute detail exactly how he caught them and essentially ensuring that any potential doxxers watching do not make the same mistake twice. His impact on the matter boils down to a lot of luck. He was a streamer who received an email saying he'd passed for VShojo which he didn't apply for, and a fan of his just-so-happened to be a part of the doxxing Discord, which allowed him a direct 'in' to ask for personal information of the person in question. He didn't actually 'doxx' anyone, meaning the evidence he provided was unilaterally admissable in court.

• As such, a large portion of the video boiled down to him 'flexing' on the doxxer, but also confirms that some form of 'action' or legal proceedings begun about two weeks prior to the video being uploaded. He was in direct contact with VShojo's CEO, as well as law enforcement for a while. Mudahar from SomeOrdinaryGamers was helping out in some way, too, but didn't make a video on it.

• Rather heartbreakingly, he shows screenshots of an Indie V-Tuber completely elated about the email, only to follow up with a tweet saying the police were at her door. He goes on to say this guy affected 'hundreds' of V-Tubers already.

The problem is that laying out voice clips of the doxxer and bragging that he 'doxxed the doxxer' (even though it wasn't a doxx) would give the person more wiggle room to defend himself, as it could be argued that the evidence pinning him was 'improperly obtained' on the basis Nux called it a doxx. Would that be effective? Who knows, but that's a headache VShojo previously didn't really have to think about. Any public notice prior to arrest is a problem, too, as Nyanners mentions, and if they're trying to build as strong a case as possible then this weakens their position.

That's not to say VShojo's management are innocent at all. There was evidently a failure to disclose to the public that there was a phishing scam from both the CEO (who was informed by Nux about it), or the official Twitter account. This inherently put a lot of people's lives at risk and that level of negligence is abhorrent. But Nux Taku's tactless, self-centered 'PSA' was opportunistic and didn't help the situation in the way you may think it did.

As for Nyanners: If she or any number of friends in the company were doxxed or even SWATted, it's only reasonable that she wants justice for it. A 'friend' directly interfering with that is a huge betrayal of trust.

Again, I'm not saying anyone is in the 'right,' I just think saying she's in the 'wrong' obfuscates the amount of wrongs other people did to get to that point. Nux has potentially jeopardised a felony charge for clicks.
nux isnt an leo, him getting the scammers information and passing it on to the cops doesnt make it inadmissable.

even if he was a cop, the scammer's friend outed him so its still admissable evidence.

as for voice recordings, depends on the state nux is in and their 1 party recording laws.

So they told us the reason why Cover showed the pre-alpha (?) build of the game, to get feedbacks from the talents and fans. Kind of makes sense for me. The other girls are probably going to give some input for the game now, especially from the ARK/MC addicts in the roster. And the fans would know what kind of game they can expect from this project

>YWN get killed by Botan with a PP-29 or get spawn camped by Watame using a Hovercraft.
NGMI

But for real, Nah I don't use or like SMGs in general at all (fucking Destiny ruined me). I prefer to use ARs or LMGs in Battlefield but because of BLUME fucking over ARs forcing me to use LMGS for the time being (it works but I prefer to use ARs more), my PC can't handle Battlefield when playing online, and I notice a lot of people and some streamers using nothing but PP-29s. Even with the notable bugs/glitches that are fucking over the game it's kinda disappointing. But I'm still playing Battlefield as it's not Destiny and still waiting for Warframe to add cross saves at last.

As for HoloEarth: From looking at the video, I see more Valheim than Ark but that's just me. Though this isn't the kind of game I'll play but I'll wait and see what that could add or improve from this demo.

Could anyone who thinks Nyanners is in the right here explain how they think keeping quiet about a phishing scam and not alerting people is the right course of action?
They'd been sitting on the info for WEEKS and didnt tell anyone even though they were getting doxed and swatted. "Muh legal case" is not an excuse for putting people in harms way
No reason, I just hate Nux more.

Anyway remember and bee aggressive lads

New EN-Tuber group GenV has surfaced that will seemingly encapsulate former Indies like VShojo did.

One of the members seems to be Nux Taku.

This, coupled with the bridges seemingly being burned between him and the VShojo girls, as well as the fact that it's clearly going to be Twitch-based, means that the Mother of all Shitshows might just be on the way.
The Western Netflix adaption of the Vtuber group wars is either gonna get really spicy or really shitty or even worse, lukewarm.

Is that why nux is so insisting on publishing the video? The plot thickens....this is going to be good

Archive for the follower list. https://archive.md/usuzi Unfortunately this only captures 21/40 current followers.
Chibidoki is among the current followers. I think I read something about her passing the audition for some group at some point in the past few weeks, perhaps this is related? Could be fun, at least for those not involved.
