You know what would be even cheaper? Going to the shop, buying the ingredients and making it himself. If money is what matters, he'd put the effort in to save money for his gacha. But if course he doesn't because effort is hard.

Mashed potatoes and mac & cheese are arguably the easiest dishes to make. Obviously Phil can't cook his own turkey but getting the sides delivered too is insane. Especially such fucking boring ones.
Even if Phil can't cook a turkey, his momwife should be able to do it. It's why she's there, to cook and clean for him. She's supposed to love doing it.
Of course we know she doesn't do shit for him but you'd think he'd keep up appearances for his illusionary audience of mature adults.

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around $82 mashed potatoes.
Don't get me wrong I fucking love mashed potatoes, but unless you dust it lightly with either gold dust or diamond dust I fail to see how it can reach such a pricepoint.

The cost is actually part of why I think it's Phil making the purchase. Part of him being awful with money is his belief that more expensive = better. He clearly wants to brag about his "feast" because he thinks it has to be good if he's spending $60+ for each item. It also fits his general food spending. He could take a few minutes to hit up a drive through for his late night cravings, but instead he'll pay the huge Doordash markup + driver tip.
But I admit, it is possible he's telling the truth for once. From what we know of his mother, it isn't exactly out of character for her to waste money on Phil. If it is true, I wonder if she also tries to get Phil to fly down for an actual family meal. I imagine if she's willing to spend that much for a meal, she'd be willing to fork over a bit extra for plane tickets.

we all know PPB would buy 20ga shells for a 12ga, be confused why it didn't work, find a lose 12ga shell and chamber it with the 20ga still in the barrel and then comedy.
also slugs aren't really dangerous past 200 yards unless your aiming at the moon when you fire, the sectional density on a foster slug is pretty shit, you get inches of drop at 100 feet

All the QVC food items I've seen come with free shipping and shipping frozen foods can get expensive. $82 for mash potatoes is still egregious though. I got my Dad a 1.5 lb, grass fed, 14 day dry aged rib eye for Father's day and it cost me exactly $80 including shipping fees.

I've talked with our own @PutridElephant a few times about the DDM. It is frustrating to him because he wants us to have some fun while watching the shit show. He has DSP RAW as an alternative to DDM, He wants people to have a good time with the emotes and SFX with decently timed cool downs. It is hard balancing everything, because spergs will sperg. Fuck just make a few suggestions to help the guy out instead of saying his streams are shit, he does it for us. Personally I would suggest SFX to be behind a channel points wall to allow loyal viewers to be the ones to use the emotes (think autism allowance), my fellow mods over there should fucking stop with the music mutes, but again if it pissed me off I just switch to raw.
Trust me attempting to strike that balance of sound clips, soap box rants, and my own bull shit isn't easy but it can be done. I just don't think shitting on our boy isn't the best move, we love @PutridElephant and the Mirror.

Phil's take on SFV on twitter is the greatest proof of his disconnect from reality.
Outside of his usual lack of self awareness, he has no idea what people think. He claims to have suffered through it but he barely played the fucking thing. At least LTG played the game for most of its life. Also he didn't stay away from SF since he kept playing the anniversary collection for years,
Also with SFV being a commercial success and a competitive giant, why would it make any radical changes that would please dinosaurs like him.
Also he hated playing sf4 since he only played it online and supposedly kept dropping his inputs. Speaking of online, he wouldn't want to play a hypothetical sf6 because it's most likely to have rollback netcode which he hates.
