Fauna made the right call not buying skyrim anniversary. I just lost 400 hours worth of gameplay. Every. Save. Corrupted. No mods. Just shitty game updates that i regret PAYING for. And occasionally it wont start at all. Im sure if she got it would have crashed her entire computer too mid stream. I hope she doesn't end up buying it because those 8 hours and however long she played offstream will most likely be gone the second it gets done updating

To take our mind from the retarded drama, let me presented to you something amusing
HoloSings posted the termination of his channel, and you know who replied and liked the tweets? HoloEN members
People like to blame Cover for this. But I reckon that the reason is that the music labels took notice and try to pressure Cover into doing so, leaving no other choice. Copyright by proxy if you will.

Otherwise the members will not reply if Cover was doing it on their own, unless they're menhera or savage enough.

I would like to wind this thread's clock back to a week ago, when Nux wasn't the most important person in the universe.
This is the first time since the entire Taiwan Saga that a real meltdown is going on; and pretty much everyone involved is on a spectrum from unlikable to downright disdained by this community. How are you not having a good time? You want us to go back to Chicken-Doomposting or for you especially, the Haato play-by-plays? I can make it happen.

One of the Nijisanji illustrators' Twitter accounts was taken over by an NFT bot via a phishing scam.

Mayuzumi Kai, the ultimate Chad of Chads, detailed the phishing scam, warned people about it, and offered advice on how to detect the real from the fakes.

I suppose we can safely say the illustrator won't be pursuing legal action. :smug:
I can't even imagine a better scenario than some tangentially involved VShoujo fan screaming in EOP that this was horrible and endangered the artist.
Edit: Also, that guy has always been pretty cool; this just solidified that opinion.

Edit_2:
Nothing else has really happened, unless anymore of Nux's friends or associates come out to condemn or defend him all we can do is speculate until he releases a response. It's not like this is a lolcow-focused thread anyway so there's not really much reason to drag something out when we've already talked about all there is at the moment.
Well. . . yeah. . . but at this point I'm just happy to see something tangible instead of the usual rrats and doomposting. Plus, this kind of cattiness and backstabbing was foretold before VShoujo ever hit the ground. I thought it was doomposting then, but seeing how quick this has devolved. . . when it seems clear to me that they are very much in the wrong by any professional metric, I am starting to think this 'company' isn't going anywhere good soon.

I thought our resident dog pfp being one of Pippa's chat mods was a joke I missed out on while I was sinking time into M&B.... I see I was mistaken.
PSA:
- No, blackmail was obviously not involved. Pippa chose me completely out of her own volition.
- Sakana/management also know that I'm a Kiwi. They did not tell me stop posting here. I can still say and do anything I want. They are not trying to 'censor' anything.
- No, I won't abuse the wrench. I just want to try and kick out the spambots and the severe-rule breaking autists.
- Yes, I sweep it up for free. :tomgirl:

Taiwan saga makes me genuinely angry since there's alot of factors outside VTuber sphere that's pretty obvious if your not living under a rock for the last 5 years.

Thankfully it ends well and Social Credits + John Xina memes being popular literally a year after Coco incident makes it even more amusing. I cant imagine Yagoo gets "Yang Goo's infinite Social Credit" memes instead of getting the "best girl".

Didn't really care about Kiara shit. I'm more dissapointed with the rrat fandoms for taking it way too seriously that it was worth.

Nux - VShojo clash didn't make me mad at all, just straight up amuses me.

Here's my take on the Nux-VShoujo drama:
On Nux's part, there might have been some miscommunication between him and VShoujo staff that led to the events we are witnessing.
He should have double-checked with the staff to be sure that it was fine to release the video.
Other than that, he was under no obligation to not publish the video (after all, he doesn't work for them).
About the video itself, I wish he took it with a more serious tone and not in his gimmick. Maybe not reveal too much about the operation, but definitely made it a PSA awareness of the phishing scam. People's lives were at risk.
On VShoujo's part, it's great that helped take down the scum that was doing this. However, everything else has been a disaster.
Why would you not post something to let people know that there was an imposter and tell people to verify the source before responding it?
As for the talents, WHY ARE YOU MAD?!?! People's lives were at risk while you lot were aware and did NOTHING!!
Then you pull this high school clique bullshit when someone did what you should have done?!
It's disgusting!

The longer this goes on the more I lean toward the rrat that this was all a calculated move for them to take out a rival and make themselves "the" Western vtuber agency again. That lines up much more neatly than the multiple narratives we are being spoonfed from multiple angles, and considering the history of some of the people involved such as nyan, would not surprise me in the least.

Based on the company statement, they seem to suggest that the doxxing/harassment campaign VSHOJO members have been experiencing since Spring 2021 and the orchestrator of this particular October 2021 phishing scam are the same person.

They obviously provide no evidence for this, and it's up to the individual how you interpret or take away from that, but that might at least somewhat justify their feelings. If they have reason to believe they're the same guy, and Nux is conflating both instances as a singular issue, then to them Nux has profiteered off of them too.

I personally don't buy this nonsense because Ive seen first hand shit like this happen because everyone got too emotionally involved and reacted poorly. People are retarded and illogical, doesn't have to be some grand conspiracy behind it to logically justify it happening.

The thing I want to add (hopefully for the last) about this drama is a question. Some of you called Mouse and Melody as the most respected people in the group, and for a good reason, they seem to be very non-confrontational and the most professional among the bunch (although the bar for the latter is pretty fucking low)

Now my question is, what kind of pressure do these two got to the point they decided to follow the others and threw Nux under the bus? Do they really believe in it? Did they regret it?

This is essentially my position. Nux may be a loudmouth blowhard at the end of the day, but if the situation involves Swatting, I have nothing but disdain for vShoujo not making SOME kind of public announcement earlier. And the streamers should absolutely know better if they're trying to come to bat for the company's fuckup. You DO NOT fuck around with swatting.

I think it's fairly likely it's the same based on the guy who did the whois/registrar lookup for vshoujo.net and vshoujo.org. Though, honestly, that shit is ALSO on vShoujo for not being smart/responsible enough to publically register the major variants of their website names to prevent this sort of shit from happening in the first place.

The possibility is non-zero but if the opportunity to crush Nux comes from Nux's well-documented inability to shut his mouth then that ultimately falls on him.

If he has the messages that tell him to post the video then he should post it and give himself some leverage, but as he carefully mentions in his video, this particular conversation just-so-happened to be a phone call which obviously can't be screenshotted.
of course, with the phone on speaker and a web cam you could easily record your phone call.

You are the head of a company of e-thot vtuber streamers. It has come to your attention a scam artist has been doxing people who have submitted auditions to your company by pretending to be a representative of your company. Do you:
  1. Issue a company statement warning people about the scam and telling them not to give out their personal information.
  2. Have your streamers tell each of their respective audiences on-stream about the scam so you can get the message out more directly to people who may be affected.
  3. Have the affected vtubers tell their stories and have your company signal-boost it so people can get the story straight from the sources.
  4. Just ignore it, it's probably not a big deal. Leave the tiny vtubers on hold for a few months, they don't have large enough fanbases to care anyways.
Months have passed and another YouTuber has made a video detailing the doxing incident. This is the first anyone has ever heard of the incident regarding your company. You may be held responsible for this in some measure or another. Do you:
  1. Issue a nondescript company statement saying that you have been made aware of the issue and are taking steps to address it.
  2. Directly address the issue, tell people not to give out personal information, apologize for not publicly addressing sooner, and attempt to make amends with the wronged parties who were doxed by someone pretending to work for your company.
  3. Hold an open forum between your company, the vtubers who were scammed, and the YouTuber who broke the story so that everything can be aired out in the open, with full transparency. Apologize for the incident, acknowledge there is very little that can be done outside of the affected parties contacting the police.
  4. Make him pay. Have every single one of your streamers sic their simps onto this man. Make them all publicly tweet at him and turn the issue around. Make them pretend like your company's e-thots are the real victims, that the women at zero risk of being doxed are somehow going to be doxed if this video isn't taken down. Have every fainting-couch drama queen tell the YouTuber that he is the unprofessional one, not you or your company. Call in their friends, a Twitter dogpile is clearly proof of who is in the right and wrong. Tell people that you have a cybersecurity firm that is somehow gathering evidence and saving people and somehow being alerted to the existence of a scam somehow retroactively destroys the evidence against the scammer. Tell people that your trailer-park company of a dozen people has been hard at work trying to catch this criminal somehow without actually talking to the people who got doxed by him. Flip it all around so you are the victim, the guy breaking the story is an evil criminal, and the people who were actually wronged just ignore them lol they'll go away.
If you're an idiot and you're still on Vshojo's side there's no saving you. You will be a virgin until you are dead. Nobody on the planet decides that the best way to stream with friends on a Minecraft server is to make a whole fucking company and sign a bunch of legally binding paperwork. This is a brand. You think they give two shits about the vtubers that got doxed? No, this makes Vshojo look like a company of incompetent retards (so basically showing people what you see is in fact what you get). Bad companies don't get sponsorships, they don't get to make money off their brand. Nux gave this company a permanent stain that will always be there for every single advertiser to look at. Advertisers could give a shit about e-thots and their Twitter simp dogpiles.

Nux's crime, if it is a crime, is telling people about a scam. I'll give the Terminally Cucked the benefit of the doubt and say he did it for exposure, money, to generate drama, to get more subscribers, and to make Vshojo look bad for personal, spiteful reasons. At the end of the day, you only know about this scam, and more potential victims only know about the scam, because Nux put up a video. Vshojo's response has been one that seems to have been carefully crafted in a laboratory by women who are permanently stuck at a mental age of 14 who are scared of their whorish reputation looking even worse.

For Mouse it's probably more easy to pin down than Melody. Mouse relies on the income to offset medical costs, help her parents pay for her care, and to set things up for her daughter. It's not like she's out buying Lamborghinis, and all the money in the world and she'll still probably be a bubble girl for her life. So I'm sure on some level she wants to do whatever she can to keep that financial security.

With Melody idk. Had this cropped up last year around the same time as the digi shit I would probably have a different take. I think she's probably just too weak willed to even deal with the cognitive dissonance of the arguments and also has corpo pressure on her. She's already behind the others, despite being the one who basically brought several of them into any relevance, and doesn't want to make waves.

Idk, just my rrat take on what's likely based on my observations. But either way and as understandable as those motives might seem I think it's still incredibly shitty if they've thrown nux under the bus like that at the behest of the company.

I'm wondering if all of this ties into zentreyas break from vshojo. They seemed like the type who would take more issue with doxing and protecting small indie tubers than the others but the fact they're already planning to come back with a new model has me wondering, does zen even know and if so to what extent?
