Just when things seemed quiet, Froot just had to stir the pot again.

Funny she mentions wanting to keep this shit storm private but goes out of her way to keep it public.

Also, I get the feeling that her whole, "uploading that video puts me at risk," has nothing to do with her safety and more about potential liability from this whole debacle.

Of course, no surprise there isn't a PEEP of an apology from any of them for dog piling Nux the way they did. Then again, that would mean they'd have to admit they were wrong.

Froot posted this to prove that they tried to privately tell Nux not to go through with the video via the posted DMs that were sent on Nov 22.

VShojo publicly called out Nux for unnecessarily painting a target on the company's backs on Nov 24.

So the DMs are "proof" that they gave Nux at least 48 hours to remove all instances of VShojo being involved in his own investigations and his bragging of taking down a "doxxing group" but he didn't. This is also to "prove" that they didn't just randomly flip flop from being okay with the video to not being okay with it.

I won't say anything new: it was very fun to watch Coco interact with other Holomem, shittalk about Watame's internet, make Towa cringe and so on. This isn't the case anymore; my Japanese is too crap to understand more complicated discussions and jokes and also I don't have much time to watch anything besides some clips from this thread (I'm catching up with activities previously unavailable due to pandemic restrictions, but this may change very soon lol). I'm happy to know that her numbers are alright (to say at least) and I sincerely wish her all the best, but I don't think I'm her target audience anymore.

This is essentially how I feel at this point, though I hope she can start getting back into the more social aspects of her streams (like collabs with Pikamee). . . I really need to start learning Japanese again.

I just noticed that gen 6 has a "hierarchy" so to say. I don't like that at all. In the en2 lore things bay was always in the center and that created expectations. kronii ended up winning her gen for the first big milestone just to shatter them further.

No it doesn't. This doesn't disprove that no one told Nux NOT to UPLOAD it. This only proves that Vshojo girls told him to TAKE it down AFTER it was uploaded. Which is something Nux already admitted to and apologized for not taking their feelings into consideration. So he's still not a liar because not once did he say no one told him to take it down. He only said no one told him not to upload it which is still true so far at least.

Basically Nux talked to Cyber team and Vshojo higher ups plus Melody and they agreed to let him upload it and even helped him tweak it. Then once Vshojo girls saw the video they started telling Nux to take it down but no one ever told him not to upload it. Nux decided to COMPROMISE by removing the girls from his thumbnail but apparently that wasn't enough and the girls needed to try and gang up on him. This literally could have been solved easily in private with a simple call.

That's literally the whole story miscommunication between higher up and the talent and the talent not being professionals.

Edit: this is probably while froot still follows him because she must have felt content with her image being removed from the thumbnail but then nyanners decided to stir the pot and the shit show happened.

It's Vtuber lore, so unless a miracle happens and one of them is a rule 63'd Mayuzumi Kai, it'll be completely irrelevant within two weeks after their debut, for better or worse.

All the best to Hololive's JP Gen 6, I thought the same thing when Irys and the Council arrived that it seemed a little crowded, odd designs but they are so talented you forget all that. Waiting room for Lu's debut in 3 hours, 30 minutes is already at 6,700~ live viewers and here's to hoping her huge ass horns are detachable. Apparently Selen mentioned on her most recent stream that her stream with Ollie has to be canceled despite their best efforts, and that they'll try again next year. Considering just how many people Ollie's collabed Apex with, this doesn't seem likely to be part of the "Holo giving NijiEN the cold shoulder" rrat, just scheduling issues.

I mean, Ollie collabing with everyone under the sun except Selen (and vice versa) probably won't do much to kill the rrat, especially as it's kind of hard to believe that they couldn't find a time for a collab they've apparently been working on for months. Selen has repeatedly just randomly played early morning Apex on stream with RPR, Templex, and Qu, and has also fit in Apex streams on a fairly late notice, such as all the Reignite scrims after being invited by Qu-chan. Though I suppose Selen might want this collab to be in evening NA time, as most of her special guest collabs are.

I don't think there's nearly enough evidence to say that the "NijiEN is blacklisted from Holo collabs" rrat is true, but there are enough things - coincidences or not - to keep it alive until a NijiEN actually collabs with a Hololive member.

At this point I would believe someone if they told me that Hololive's lore is written by Yagoo's middle school nephew. People joke about the lore being complicated, but it really isn't - it's just chuuni purple prose. It almost certainly won't have any impact on their streaming, of course.
