sweetarts squeez. gave you that delicious sweet-and-sour flavour without having to crack a molar in the process, but for some reason it was discontinued not long after its release.

probaby the container was made in china and it leeched something nasty

happens alot in the business

The local grocery store chain where I live has different flavors of soup in containers you can take home and microwave. I used to love their chicken and ginseng soup. It was a refreshing change on chicken soup. But I've realized they don't carry it anymore and I don't know anywhere else that uses ginseng in soup like that.

I don't post this to be edgy but when i was a kid growing up in the late 90s, my favorite brand of chocolate here in austria was this big fat chocolate bar full of nuts, called negro-bread.
You can guess why this chocolate was discontinued. But i still have fond memories of sneaking into my grandmas store to steal some negro-bread.

I'm not normally one for energy drinks anymore, but there was this really nice energy drink Cola that was made around 2008-2010 that I really enjoyed. It was really thick and I remember feeling like I could almost crunch down on the film it left behind on my teeth. It also had a ton of caffeine and is the sole reason I got through a number of all-nighters and late night shifts back in the day.

Every year around Christmas I’d buy a box of Turkish Delight. Can’t remember the brand (it came in a blue hexagonal box with gold trim with a woman in a 1001 Nights Arabian princess getup painted on it) best Turkish Delight ever. Haven’t found it since about 2018 and Google is no help.

Does anyone remember a beer called Curious Traveler Lemon Shandy?

It was good stuff and the whole branding of it was a great snapshot of the cultural zeitgeist of the 2010s, sadly the company is completely defunct now, definitely one of those things I didn't appreciate enough at the time.
Leinenkugel makes a decent shandy, and stigel or schofferhofer are good for a radler (basically the same thing, but German).

Dark Berry Dr Pepper to promote Spider-Man: Far From Home, it was delicious as shit and only lasted a few months, how I wish I could have some more.

I've had some Leinenkugel shandy and it's pretty good, but I would honestly say Curious Traveler was better.

Try schofferhofer. Their pomegranate radler is incredible.

My favorite energy drink of all times was a Jones Soda concoction called Whoop Ass. They still make something under that name but it is no longer delicious and is just a caffeine overdose in a can. I had another favorite energy drink that was something from Vietnam and I don't know its name but it was really high in taurine and inositol and other energy drink voodoo like that.

It came in small bottles and I went through ridiculous amounts of that stuff. I only ever saw it in the one shop where I got it from. The only English on the label was the ingredients list. It wasn't carbonated but had a really compelling flavor.

I think my favorite of these on-again off-again beverages was Mountain Dew LiveWire, their orange flavor. I'm not sure this is really discontinued because they seem to bring it back every couple years. I am not sure why this never made their usual lineup while crap like Code Red is still out there.

I've seen the Pepsi Blue being mentioned upthread, today I found it again! Turns out they re-released it for the holidays around these parts.

Bought myself one bottle because it was going away quick.

Tastes as good as I remember it, fond memories of Christmas came flooding back with the first sip :)

I miss those jelly things with the whole piece of fruit they sold for a second before a bunch of idiots forgot what chewing was. They still sell them with cut up fruit now but it's not the same.

The original recipe of Irn-Bru, before the sugar tax in the UK destroyed it. Now an old recipe cans go for £5 a can from hoarders.

They released a "1901 Irn-Bru" version, that is supposed to be the old recipe, but it's not even close to the same taste.

Taco Bell's Chili Cheese Burrito (Chilito)
One of Taco Bell's early casualties in their ever-continuing efforts toward their final goal of bringing their total number of on-hand ingredients in their restaurants to 3.
It looked the same going in as it did coming out but, by golly, it was delicious.

Edit: oh, shit, it looks like it still exists, just not at one of my usual taco bells. https://chilichee.se/
