I'll give the girls some benefit of the doubt, as it seems that there may have been something else going on where they were an actual target of credible violence. No one deserves harassment and targeting. Their management however, played this horrifically. Between flip-flopping responses regarding the original Nux video, and what is described here. . . they aren't ready to be on this stage period.

This isn't trying to juggle investors, the CCP, and a roaring divided fanbase, and CONSTANT OVERT DEATH THREATS to an ALREADY (soft)DOXXED TALENT that include HER FACE. A clear statement, tailored by a thoughtful, professional could have been tailored to properly address the public safety and internal safety. The 'drawing attention argument,' while legitimate, is not a very good defense, especially when attacks like swatting (or what I am assuming is now something akin to an actual threat with doxxed material) as having police involvement drastically lowers these criminals' ability to act.

Which brings me to another point. Regardless of the anger, justified or not, toward that video. Regardless of whether or not it put you into a spiral of depression. You do not weaponize a fanbase. You do not rant on a discord knowing full well it will leak to the public. You do not publicly shame a person afterwards on Twitter. This was unprofessional at best, and vindictive, vain, vapid and petty otherwise. Coco dealt with shit coming from the wolf-warriors and (what I thought) was the most incompetent display of corporate management in this sector, with more grace and fortitude than members of this company did. AND she lived in Japan where they think the stalker overtly telling you he'll kill you on the seventh ain't grounds to do anything.

Tl;dr: This company is a goddamn joke. While I sympathize with the plight (maybe) faced by the VS talent, their actions after the fact were abhorrent. I almost appreciate Cover's handling of the Taiwan crisis; at the very least I appreciate Coco(and Haato the High Schooler)'s decorum all the more now.

I always thought of them as just a ragtag group of independents that kind of banded together to take on the corps like HL and niji, so they'd be able to collab and work with each other, etc. To find out there was "management" and some "security guy" working behind the scenes and withholding the info from them is interesting. Is there a whole structure there then as well?


Back to HL JP Gen6, I'm watching Iroha's debut and she is doing the panting thing as well. I think that is the third one at least, both La+ and Chloe did that as well when they were nervous or did something wrong. Is that a JP thing or just the girls in this gen? At first I thought it was just a personal tic, but now all of them doing it makes me wonder if it is cultural. It's cute, but strange that they all seem to be doing it in this gen. Have never really noticed it with other HoloJPers, but maybe I just don't watch them enough outside of clips.

Watching Iroha, I don't think she'll be able to overtake Chloe or La+ as my favs for this gen, but she's not far behind and pretty darn cute. Honestly the only one I wasn't in to was Lui, as I'm not in to the onee-san/mama vibe usually (though somehow Fauna overcomes that for me, so who knows). As others have said, they hit it out of the park with this gen. They all have great designs and rigging, and the talents have all been great with no duds, in my opinion. Makes me wish I knew japanese, but on the other hand I can't even keep up with my favs in holoEN as is, so I'll just have to enjoy clips of them for now.

I get the feeling Ph0enix was just hired on through a "hey, I know a guy" situation but idk. I didn't think Vshojo actually had management, what Mouse probably meant was there's a person who loosely manages the talent but not to the same degree as in Hololive, Nijisanji, or even Phase Connect. It feels like Pippa is more managed than Vshojo talent to me.
