I went down the rabbithole of tranny surgeons the last few days and came across an eccentric one named Dr. Will Powers. If there's an anon with lots of free time, I can tell this is an absolute goldmine. Filter it down to posts submitted by him and you'll see his interests are all over the place. He's well-versed in memes, crypto, he acknowledges the detransitioning community, etc.

Powers seems different from Dr. Gallagher in that he seems to be in it for the money and to make a name for himself as the best (aka least shitty) surgeon. Dr. Gallagher explicitly takes the sexual angle; while it wouldn't surprise me if Powers is also a weird creep, he's a normal looking dude with a wife.

He did a 2-hour presentation where he accidentally drops lots of hatefacts about trannies, including that 57% of black troons at his practice are HIV positive.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Dr. Powers is not a surgeon, but a family doc with a focus on endocrinology. He treats HIV and prescribes HRT. A lot of HRT.

He also gets into fights with trannies pretty regularly when he tells them the truth i.e. there are side-effects to HRT. He did an interesting AMA on r/asktrans a few years back that seems to now be memoryholed where he had a pretty reasonable take for a tranny doc, IIRC. advising transes follow their doctor's instructions and not take every horse chemical they can get their large mannish hands on right away. This led to snart seething, cries of gatekeeping, etc. so that's probably why it's deleted because r/asktransgender's finest Internet autists can't handle being told that DIY HRT is a bad idea by an actual doctor. Dr. Powers does want to do research on HRT effects and on what a gayface looks like (lol) and posts results from his work fairly often for a practicing family doc.

He comes off as well-meaning, but does not have perspective on the majority tranny constituency of furious white autistics who will never encounter AIDS or listen to an authority figure, ever. My impression of him from his posting history has been that he is sincere about wanting to help trans individuals, but his perception is biased by his patient population being overwhelmingly HSTSes engaged in high-risk sexual activities with men, since he runs an HIV clinic and that was how he first encountered trannies. He's not in the same league as Gallagher, who comes off as an absolute psycho trying to rip the tits off any teenager that might grow up to be as pretty as her.

Lol look at the dates of most of those studies. You can't compare studies that are mostly from the 1990s, 2000s and early 2010s when this stuff only exploded in the last 5 years or so. Trannies were formerly screened and monitored for years before they were able to get surgery, and they weren't doing it to minors. Now they're lopping tits off 13 year olds.
