I had this strange and outright autistic fear of losing/forgetting my locker combination when I was shifting from Elementary (which kept everything at a desk) to Middle school (hallway lockers). So I some how managed to convince my mom to "home school" me for a year. Didn't learn shit, played loads of RuneScape, and started my descent to becoming a reclusive weirdo.

When I was a kid, there was a period where I would have horrible nightmares very regularly. I would wake up screaming at times. One was so bad I thought I was going to die - even as an adult I remember the feeling of that dream. It was awful.

So for a while I was afraid of sleeping.

I would lay in bed with my eyes open as long as I possibly could. If I noticed I was falling asleep, I would jerk wide awake and try to keep them open again.

I watched one of those doomsday-history-channel episodes about a Meteor hitting the Earth and wiping us out way too young. I didn't like the open sky for like 7 months. I can't help but see the humor in that new movie Don't Look Up.
