A writer of the show (his name escapes me right now) was always against that, Specially female robots. For him they were all agender robots (they just happen that all use He/Him)

It wasn't until I think, late in season 2 they added fembots to make Arcee's appearance in the movie bridging seasons 2 and 3 not that strange, and shockwave mention they were a thought to be extinct species.
(also because someone that worked in the show had a daughter that transformers and wanted a pink female one or something)

That writer always came up with some weird explanation like how in a comic, arcee was made by the autobots to please a crowd of angry feminist. And of course it wasn't good enough.
And in IDW how Arcee was turned female as part of a mad scientist's experiment. First it was said she was forced but then retcon'd that she wanted it but the guy make it as agonizing as possible.

I could go on but you get the point.

Except none of them have the guts or even a fraction of the gumption to actually react like that off of twitter. That's not even getting into the fact that its yet another comic that has the punchline of 'if someone displeases you ruin their lives, threaten their life, burn things they own'. That's the breadth of their creativity when it comes to a response.

Jeez. Being a troon does not excuse killing a lot of people. I don't exactly know what lead up to this event but that person no longer deserves to have their pronouns and chosen name respected. Hell, anyone who defends them loses the privilege, either.

Isn't that sort of the point of escapist comics like this? It appeals to people who are so emotionally unstable that the slightest inconvenience is rage-inducing, so lacking in self-regulation that they can't let that rage go, but simultaneously so cowardly they won't act on it in the moment and thus achieve some catharsis (or at least be locked up for the betterment of society).

It's almost like the artists just grabbed whatever name they found from MyAnimeList and slapped it on their obvious self insert/fetish to get traction from brainwashed identity politispeds and seething neckbeards...

I'd argue that constant inundation of fantasies where you can just kill or destroy anyone might cement that as an acceptable reaction. Sure I think we've all had those thoughts or wants, revenge moments in your head where you did better or just shut someone up. In the case of the blobfish stuff its just the same over and over. Someone disagrees? Violence, unpersoning, total destruction of everything around them.

Same deal with edits or the opposite versions of this where they 'own the libs' or what have you. It's shitty and having it pipe in constantly is not a good thing.
