You and me both assuming it really happens.
Yeah, it's happening. Back when during the last "it's happening" freak out in December I was 100% because it was winter and nobody starts a land war in Eastern Europe in fucking winter.

Well, winter is wrapping up now so it's party time.

I think I kind of know what is going on. What I know for certain is that so much of the discussion in our western media seems to deliberately not make any sense. Nor is there an attempt to actually explain anything. Watching news broadcasts, Russia has simultaneous invaded, about to invade, at war, not at war, civil war in Ukraine, no civil war, Russian troops fighting in Ukraine, not fighting, Rebel groups fighting plus the old goldie of them describe a conflict only on terms of one side fighting.

They're still trying to figure out how this story fits into their "Orange mad bad, social justice good!" narrative.

What sanctions specifically are you thinking they'll implement?
On the Russian side i can only think of foreign investment bans (which i think was already banned by the west's 2014 round of sanctions) and cutting them off of the gas line. sure it will hurt europe some, but natural resources are russias life line. it will hurt them ALOT.
