I hopped in a few minutes ago to see cause I'm a massochist. Woolie almost lost one of the first tutorial battles. Complaining that the game is too fast on Wait mode. "Enemies still attacked me while I was talking!" the story of Woolie VS. Reggie, the more knowledgeable and skilled gamer apparently, had to explain to Woolie that Wait Mode is only when you're in the menus.

Nothing actually bad yet... I liked Woolie talking about sacrificing Moogles and wanting to go back to loot their dead bodies. I chuckled. M... Maybe this will be good! Or not soul crushingly offensive!



He still needs to learn how to talk and play at the same time instead of completely stopping everything everytime he talks. He's slowly reading out loud every tutorial right now, sometimes reading them 2-3 times cause "white numbers are damage, and green numbers are healing" takes a few tries to comprehend being such new concepts, and stopping in the middle to talk with Reggie about concepts children figure out instantly but Woolie needs to TED talk with Reggie about, cause reading tutorials isn't slow enough.

Really reinforces that Woolie worked better as a commentary/joke guy and not the person in the driver's seat. Or at the very least like in say Dark Souls, having someone in the co-pilot seat who'd yell at him and say "FUCKING GO, WOOLIE!"

"Wow, so... if an enemy attacks me in the back, it does more damage? So like, a back attack? So like, my back row, would be like the front row in that situation?" Wow, what amazing commentary. Such insight. Glad we stopped to mull over that. Just the normally-1-minute optional tutorial room is gonna be its own episode when Minh "edits" these into YouTube episodes.

Oh God, he just said he's going to be conservative and play defensively and take things slow. And now he's "analyzing" the item shop vendor's selection. "Oh, a potion, it heals HP. Hmmm..." like he's Vaati Vidya interpretting the implications and meaning behind the item description.

Also... lol... "This castle is so shitty! Its built on sand! It would sink into the sand!" And I like his reaction to the little girl mentioning Edgar promised to marry her when she grows up. "THE GROOMER KING! NOT VERY 2022!"

His in-game time is at about 2 hours and just met Edgar. Gonna be the longest LP in the history of not just Woolie, but all time.

It wasnt really that extreme, it was more Reggie being super hype over the boss and Woolie going "Enough. Okay reggie. *very loud sigh*. I'll say nothing haha..." every time.

I like how the comment section keeps pointing out that when Reggie was playing dark souls, woolie was jerking himself over artorias and reggie agreed, but when he plays everhood and reggie says frog is sick, woolie gets salty."

Some legit entertaining and funny moments/takes in FF6 so far. Too bad they're gonna be once an episode, or once every two episodes, when they're YouTube videos.

I can imagine Woolie driving a car, and he just hard slams on the break every minute to a full stop in the middle of the road without warning everytime he wants to say one little thing to the person in the passenger seat, or wants to read a sign he passes by.

But yeah, FF6 hasn't been offensively bad like 90% of the FFX LP, which had Matt feeding Woolie misinformation and bad takes. The FFX LP was the worst thing ever, minus the Wakka jokes, which were the best thing ever.

It really shouldn't be such an issue though, saying kids shouldn't get estrogen and life altering surgeries. I'm a fairly liberal person myself (As much as the modern movement is trying to push me right) and I can confidently say kids are fucking stupid. I wouldn't even say I solidified my identity til I was in my mid twenties. God help the kids today if they're in any way non-conforming to gender norms since that means you're a fucking train and its time to start the pills and surgeries.

10 or 15 years from now, we're gonna have a lost generation of kids and it's nary gonna be reported on by anyone.

Reggie starts streaming and does well. Develops a better on screen personality and understanding of how your meant to communicate with chat and play the games in an entertaining way. I meant more in the sense that the subreddit is full of trans users so they actually sided with pat's for once thanks to his super safe and ambiguous "pro-trans rights stance", and anyone who disagrees, no matter how politely, gets downvoted, removed and branded as transphobic.

I'm not in the place to speak for trans people or kids but i'll stand that allowing "kids have enough mental maturity to take growth drugs and body surgeries and should be allowed to do so" is one slippery slopey hill to die on.
