It depends more on Ukraine forces, the objective for the Russians is total demilitarization of Ukraine, if they go, urban guerrilla, and stop wearing a uniform then Russia got themselves into a bit of a troubled situation.
That's the risk Russia is hoping that it's only the azoz battalion but western Ukraine will be chalk full of azoz guys and asymmetrical warfare.

Question any Russian casualties or is it all just ukranian casualties and is there any armed civilian resistance out there still?
Some Russian casualties but it is very unclear what's going on right now. /k/ (/pol/ is too fast to be useable) claims that the heaviest ground fighting is going on north of Kharkov currently.

BMP on the right is Russian, unclear if the one on left is Ukrainian or Russian.

Only (so called) state Americans are willing to defend is Kosovo*

Ukraine is just a way to provoke Russia and **mission completed**

America will fight against Russia, till the last European

Like i said in the Biden thread. You wlect a weak leader and this happens.

Honselty Trymp really comes off more presidential when he come ou immediately after this came out and spoke about it live on Fox. Where Biden might be dead who knows.
He ain't dead, unfortunately. Grampa Joe is literally asleep at his post right now because the Russians attacked during his bedtime.

So far on telegram it looks like Ukraine is taking the blunt of it. It also seems Russian tanks have Z's on them. There also definitely seems to be alot of confusion and mismanagement amongst ukranian lines also I think the Russians will sieze Kiev too.
Yeah - but I am going to hold out the hope that life will choose the most hilarious option.

Those Northern guys - the ones who held the line - if they're smart, they might just launch all-in and head East, just pushing as far into Russia itself. It would be a heroic act - just throttle towards Moscow and hope that the guys in Kiev can leverage it into a ceasefire.

Wouldn't it show the world they don't need Boorgerland to save them? thus weakening our position in the world further?

Most countries keep America around so they don't have to spend money on their military. Why do you think Germany has such great social welfare programs while the Bundeswehr trains with sticks? All the tax money goes towards that because the U.S. shadow protects them. The West winning in Ukraine means business as usual. The West losing in Ukraine means things have to change, and during a game of musical chairs, there's always a chance for a new person or idea to occupy the chair someone else had to get up from.

I slept through the start of WW3 since I’m at least seven time zones behind, but allow me to share the worst possible take
I’ve had the displeasure of reading since I woke up.

On behalf of all Americans, I’m really sorry that we keep making every geopolitical issue about ourselves and have to inject the worst of our peoples’ politics as a result. Twitter was a mistake.

I would like to see Ukraine call Russia's bluff and throw everything at them. I want to see how much muscle Russia actually brought - like I said, Ukraine isn't small or weak and if they called Russia's bluff and tried to push towards the Russian border, they might succeed.
I am acting under the assumption that any airforce and AA Ukraine as has been near done with the Russians seemly have no problem bringing in the choppers, so the next best option is to prolong the conflict.

The one on the left is one of the native Ukranian models

Are there black people in russia?
seriously asking...

The Ukrainians are now saying that Kiev is exposed to airstrikes, not just cruise missiles

AA is gone.
Tonight's gonna be interesting. They rode pretty hard on the ground today, so I'm expecting the Russians to spend the night getting reorganized and resupplied, mixed with some recon. Tonight's going to belong to the air and artillery making a fuckton of noise to try and keep the Ukranians off-balance. If Kiev's vulnerable and Putin's feeling particularly short of fucks, we might even see some good old-fashioned terror bombing.

Also all we have is a few grainy videos and press release from the Ukie MoD we have no frickin idea what casualties are either side or how well they are doing, though I will allow that the Russians do seem to have broken out from Crimea and don't yet seem to have encountered an organised defense on that axis of advance

I think that's a Kozak-5, which would mean it's Ukrainian.
