Russia was fine allowing Ukraine to exist as an independent nation as long as it remained neutral and demilitarized i.e. the status quo from the end of the cold war through the Trump years.
Asking for weapons and training from NATO is a sign of aggression and essentially the beginning steps of NATO integration. It was a very dumb decision.
You're right. I personally believe that American militarization and training is also belligerent. Russia has legitimate security concerns over the size and status of the US military. Therefore the US military should disband.

God...

That is fucking desperate. These are civilians and not uniformed soldiers. They do not get POW if captured and then being armed allows for the wholesale slaughter if one person is carrying a Javelin. Are they even the trained on it's use? This is going to result in a massacre.

This has to be a joke because if true the implications are horrifying.

My guess is the play by most civilians is

1 get free shit
2 stick free shit on the black market
3 use the money to get the fuck out of dodge

This is a very professional, very precise invasion. The Russian troops have been instructed to use the force strictly necessary to secure their objectives. Resistance to the Russian invasion is limited to a few very localised points defended by certain units of the Ukrainian army.

After one day, Russian troops are within a few kilometres of the Ukrainian capital. The Ukrainian intelligence services burn the most sensitive documents.

In the south, the Russian army from the Crimea is charging towards the town of Kherson, a preliminary stage before Odessa. Once in Odessa, the entire southern Ukrainian coast will be controlled by the Russian army.

For the moment, it is only the Russian vanguard. It is testing the resistance of the Ukrainian army and setting up bridgeheads in preparation for a full-scale invasion of the country. Kiev will soon be taken over, the central government destroyed, precipitating the collapse of the existing semblance of a Ukrainian state.

The conquest of the regions will come in a second phase, probably without resistance.

All the territories east of the Dnieper and the entire Ukrainian Black Sea coast will certainly be attached to pro-Russian republics. A neutralised central Ukrainian state will be maintained. Lviv and Lutsk will be de facto ceded to Poland from where the pro-NATO Ukrainian government will operate.

International law fags will cope and seethe, but might is right.

Yes. As I said in prior posts. Trump's election actually delayed the Deep State / Intelligence community. They wanted to do this back in 2016-2017 and had to wait until "they were back" through Biden's regime.

Basically the same thing happened. America tried to play hardball and get Ukraine to join NATO. Russia wasn't going to let that happen and annexed Crimea. Now they'd taken over all of Ukraine.
I will disagree here. The intent was never to actually start a war, nor was this long in the planning by some deep state interest.

The long-term interest was maintaining Ukraine as a U.S.-friendly den of corruption and vice where all the elites could clean their dirty laundry and do shady as fuck dealings.

The short-term goal was by courting disaster then throwing down sanctions, the Admin thought they could be seen as averting a great war and thus raise their absolutely plummeting polling numbers,

Neither objective is going well right now.
