It's hilarious how you think that Trump, a man who continues to kiss the ass of Putin to this day, would stand up to him. Republicans gonna Republican, though. I know, you love Dear Leader a lot and you Republicans love to be grifted, but man, get some dignity.
You can reeee all you want about the mutual respect between Trump and Putin. The fact remains, Putin took Crimea under Obama and it looks like he's about to take all of Ukraine under Biden. He didn't take anything under Orange Hitler's watch.

if they want to negotiate it might mean the situation is worse for Russia than it appears.
I've said it before. I have no evidence for this, but I don't think Putin expected the opposition he ended up getting. I feel like he expected to hold Kiev by last night and for the world to be more focused on other things. As I've stated before, Ukraine and the world is very different now than it was a few years ago, and Crimea was a different beast.

Ukraine doesn't hold a chance in a long term war with Russia but it's entirely possible that Russia completely underestimated Ukraine. The way Putin spoke about the country made it seem like he was talking about a little nowhere place in the armpit of Africa.

Curtis Le May wouldn't have let the Ruskies get this far.

Having executives who've never fought in a war is the biggest mistake we've ever made.

Holy shit. Shut the fuck up. Trump attacked their ongoing military operations with cruise missiles in Syria. It was a massive strike on a military installation after the gas attacks in Khan Shaykhun. They weren't friends.

Or did you forget about that?
Also that unfortunate incident with Wagner and American SF was on Trump's watch.

He's like 5'7, isn't he? That's very short but not like a turbomanlet or anything
He's got turbo manlet energy. It distorts reality around him and makes him seem even smaller.

tl;dr: Biden is a cuck tht Putin clocked a mile a away.
Do you think that a Trump-led White House would have offered stronger opposition to Putin in this sort of scenario? Or does this judgment extend to Trump also?

Again, I'm not trying to get into an argument; I'm really just curious.

Sorry, I get like 8 replies on here from angry Republicans every time I mention Trump isn't the perfect messiah they think he is.

Why would he? He was waiting for the perfect time. If it was just because Biden is in charge, why didn't he do it a year ago? Or 6 months ago? That's like asking why did Hitler wait until 1939 to invade Poland
Why is the perfect time not when the President of the US a Russian puppet?

Jesus christ, you are such a retard that you can't even read your own source. That was an attack on Syria and Russia had advance notice. It was literal lip service so that Republicans like you could say "SEE TRUMP WAS HARD ON RUSSIA!!!!"

All the territories east of the Dnieper and the entire Ukrainian Black Sea coast will certainly be attached to pro-Russian republics. A neutralised central Ukrainian state will be maintained. Lviv and Lutsk will be de facto ceded to Poland from where the pro-NATO Ukrainian government will operate.
Why would Poland accept it like that, would be really weird.
Video showing the interrogation of the preciously captured Russian recon contract soldier. Is anyone native able to give a general translation? Does it seem genuine?

Gets asked where he's from (born in Siberia), allegedly arrived day prior, what army he's from ("Center"), was tasked to check on some bridge ("can't tell specifics" on why, does know they are fighting against Ukrainians), finished engineering school, not military but contractor since '06 (might just be engineer for example since it was a mechanized unit)

Asked for composition, three battalions, mostly BMP-2s, tanks apparently still T-72s, asked for commander name (they cut out full name) and location. Entered from Belarus. I can't catch the city name, but it's implied it's far away and that the commander might be new since he's still there. Refused to give out battalion leader name.

He dodging a lot of questions and trying semantics, but it does seem they got some random engineer.

Russia attacks International Airport in Hostomel. It is home to the worlds largest aircraft, the An-225, used to carry super large payloads. Likely destroyed as was there at the time.

its fine. the planes captain went out to the airport to check on it. it probably wont survive the battle for the airport tonight though.

I feel like Trump was more intimidating as an international negotiator than Biden. Other nation’s leaders didn’t want to find out what he might do if pissed off. It’s the same concept as having your enemies negotiate with a chimpanzee in a suicide vest that has one hand on the detonator cord and is demanding a well-done steak drowned in ketchup.
Sometimes thats all you need for people to back off, if you instead act like biden then people think and are right that its just easy to push your shit in, and then we get this kind of shit.
