Ukraine will be an extremely important agricultural bread basket in the future, especially for Russia's most important friend China, when the droughts start hitting the ching chongs harder.

Most likely Ukraine will exist as a puppet-regime to Russia and Donbas will either get independence or become a constituent republic of the Russian federation. There will probably be no more war since all the bordering countries are NATO members apart from Finland/Sweden.
