Most common cosmetic surgeries have a standard of care. If somebody goes in for a facelift and ends up with their face peeling off, then there was something fucky going on. But even with cosmetics there’s a lot of “buyer beware” involved, depending on how even simple procedures heal can fuck up your face or body. Look at the surgery junkies among celebrities.
SRS has no standard of care, so it’s pretty much on par with back alley butt lifts. As long as they aren’t actually pumping plumber’s caulk in, it’s pretty hard to prove there was malpractice involved. All of these people sign up and signed waivers saying they wanted healthy systems destroyed, and since that’s what they got they can’t really complain.
Every last one of these, even the teens, would’ve screeched and screamed at anyone who tried to slow them down. Most probably either have, or would’ve cut family off if they tried to intervene while they were fantasizing about their surgery. So I feel no sympathy for any of them. Detrans, mangled true believers, either way when they were manically insisting on hormones/surgery they didn’t want to stop. So now they can’t escape the consequences.
