in Some of the videos of captured russians the Russian will say that they all thought it was just a exercise. if true, imagine how big a blow to morale that would have been.
For conscripts that makes sense. Why risk leaking invasion intel to someone who has skin in the game, but nothing to gain for invasion.

Tumblr reacts to the situation in Ukraine
Perhaps one should not become reliant on Big Pharma products, and instead be naturally healthy through good diet, exercise, and lifestyle. We are living through an era of global unrest and instability. Globalization supply chains are already seriously strained, and it could get much worse; Big Pharma products could very well become unavailable. The military tries to avoid putting people who require constant medication in combat roles, because one never knows what is going to happen in terms of supply chains and logistics. One would not want to "need" bullshit like SSRIs or HRT, even as a civilian, when one's home turns into a warzone due to civil strife or foreign invasion.

>people are literally getting into fights over Trump

man I wish I could quit a job and still have people this salty at me over a year later lmao
I don't get what it is with you Trump voters. Just because he left office doesn't mean you can't talk about him anymore. He was a sitting president of the United fucking States, their influence doesn't end after the next president is inaugurated. The Recession of 2008 didn't end the minute Obama swore the Oath of Office. Tons of people in this thread have been bringing up Obama and Bush to praise Trump for totally being tough on Russia.

You people get triggered at any ill-speak of Trump and come up with the most bullshit excuses to bury your heads in the sand. It's pathetic.

I can't get over how Russia bombing the shit outta Ukraine is somehow showing Biden is strong and Putin is scared of him. KF libs are something else.
You would think it would be the opposite

He feels threatened by the thought of Ukraine joining NATO, which Biden would likely support. That's why he's invading.
Anyone who doesn't recognize this and is too dumb even to look at a map and realize what the strategic significance of Ukraine being NATO and having a border with Russia, hasn't been paying attention since probably they were born, because you'd have to be like mentally 12 not to realize this.

He also doesn't just feel threatened, having a NATO Ukraine directly adjacent is not just a feels threat, but an actual threat.

Imagine thinking that nobody would take advantage while the US political structure was crippled by a senile commander N chief. Taiwan is next, mark my words.
Taiwan is an island, a very well defended island too (with a little islet part in sight of the mainland), and PRC has an extraordinarily substandard navy (maybe one aircraft carrier) for its size. I don't see the Chicoms risking economic disaster at a time of very severe economic strain, substantially related to property debt (Evergrand or whatever it's called). Yet reason would have suggested that Putin could puppet Ukraine via the Minsk Accord and a fairly pro-Russian opposition, and war, outside the usual hybrid shit, would have seemed irrational, so who knows?

The present Russian operations seem probe like, so any partial Ukrainian defeats of these efforts might not matter, that the Russians have a better idea how to proceed with full scale operations.
