Well it's kind of hard to remain stoic knowing for certain your country is about to get fucked up. But I do agree this isn't our problem and I hope it stays that way. And that's not because I'm scared of fighting Russia by any means. A joined coalition with just UK/US/French and Canada alone would decimate Russia. I'm more worried of what China is cooking up. They've been unusually neutral lately and that's concerning. They're usually more supportive of Russia.

Sure its upsetting but there's this thing called self control. Being able to project steadfastness, empathy, control and patriotism without becoming a blubbering mess is at a minimum what a politician should be able to do during a crisis; however, note she's called a "lawmaker" which could mean she's just in charge of daycare standards, dog park regulations or just drafting parking ticket fines. This is propaganda crafted by a glowie agency (could be foreign, domestic or both) and you should be skeptical of anything coming from either side, but ours as well.

Governments have been spending millions every year finding ways to manipulate the public so be aware. This is not just a war on the ground but in many other ways as well.

I don't know if figures can be trusted from either side. Ukraine's reported the same event like five different ways. First they've wiped out the Russians at the airport, then there's still heavy fighting at the airport, then they have the Russian wing routing, then they're dug in trying to repel the Russians, then the Russians are dead and captured and no Russian's at the airport until there's heavy fighting there five minutes later.

It's probably because they looking at the state of the "wider world" and know that this is an optics disaster for Russia, even though Russia will win the war against Ukraine in the end.

If China openly goes out in support of Russia, those bad optics will "rub off" on China, especially in its interactions with Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Maybe but it would've been a huge power move to go like, "Yeah we support Russia, sanction us now bitch." Even if they don't actually mean this, this would've undoubtly lowered the morale and confidence of western leaders and stoke fears of China/Russia collaboration becoming the "Beasts of the East". But then again, unlike Russia, we don't actually have any real beef with the nation.

No this site is literally banned from the Russian Internet. Null was sent multiple letters from the Russian gov. You can read them in the "Take this off the internet" forum. Not saying Russians aren't here but it's a shitload of work and risk to access a gossip website.

Lol I was just looking for information from a Ukrainian media perspective. I found a list of their top news TV channels by viewers, and tried their websites. Many inaccessible due to DDOS, but I was able to get through to one, the website of the 2nd most popular Ukrainian TV station, called "Channel Ukraine" in English.

I don't see any mention of the invasion of their country on their News tab. It's all covid hoax shit, "who should pay on a date," and reporting on reality TV. I'm willing to consider that maybe this is due to Russian hacking reverting the site to before the invasion, or something of that nature, but it must be spooky for Ukrainian boomers with no access to their own media anymore during this major event. At least savvy Ukrainians would have access to various livestream, social media, and telegram type stuff.
