People don't seem to understand that Zelensky and the Ukrainian government gain massive propaganda benefits, both domestically and abroad, from any atrocities and dead civilians.

I don't doubt some of the Russians are going full Platoon on civilians and that a lot of bystanders are getting killed by stray munitions.

But I also don't doubt that Ukrainians are having pissed off defenders doing the same things. And that they're exaggerating numbers, staging bodies for photo-ops, and either covering up their own misdeeds or claiming it's just Russian propaganda.

Outright believing all of the Ukrainian stories about how evil and genocidal those dang dirty Russians are is a level of gullibility that I thought most people on these forums were beyond.

Ditto for people believing that the Russians are running a super-clean war where they just want to stop the Nazis and do nothing but hand out food and puppies to the Ukrainians.

Stop believing the lying journoscum on all sides of this war.

I find it fascinating how being invaded absolves one of past sins.

I am more concerned with the world hailing it as a model of European democracy despite the entrenched corruption, banning all dissenting political parties and all opposition media.

I don't understand why the world supports Ukraine to be honest. Ukraine is a country who bullies his citizens, is one of the places with more international crimes happening (abductions, drugs, funding terrorism), the administration is full of people who are corrupt and in perpetual power, their growth has been stunted by politics who only enriched people in power, while having most of the population under the poverty line.

Is a shithole of a country.

I'm more amazed on why Russia didn't bombed the shit out of them in the first place. Russia is being really soft for my taste, if I were aid of Putin I would have told him to bomb, capture the president and hang him in a public square while broadcasting it worldwide for everyone to see.

Maybe the West would be more sympathetic to Russia if it weren't awash in drug and alcohol addiction, if it didn't funnel weapons to every anti-West terrorist group ever over the last 70 years, if it weren't the only country in the world more corrupt than Ukraine, if its administration weren't full of corrupt pigs in perpetual power, whose politics stunted the country's economic growth while enriching themselves, while having most of the population under the poverty line, while bullying and ruining its own citizens inside its borders who oppose the rulers, journalists opposing the rulers mysteriously shot in the street, while its own citizens who oppose it outside its borders keep ending up poisoned. Mysteriously.

I have yet to hear someone claim that. People aren’t denying Russians are responsible for some of the things happening, but Ukes will also lie too. It’s why you don’t just take every headline at face value

Dang, can’t say I’m surprised though. It’s inherently flawed though because it’s mostly about posting articles, and most news sources side heavily with Ukraine. If all I mostly read was MSM talking points, my perception would probably be skewed too.

I still believe Putin is a good leader. Sure, beyond Moscow and St Petersburg Russia is left to their own devices, but still, Russian people don't have to suffer niggers and their victim complex, transgenders, indians, women's rights and refugees like the rest of Europe.

I rather live in Russia than in any of the rest of Europe and Asia combined.

Also Russian Language is top tier.

I like to think these are battlefield pickups from both wars against the Russians. I mean, check out the suspicious rust on that AK; almost like it laid in a puddle of something for a while. Being buried under a sack of potatoes or in a wall probably wouldn't leave a mark like that.
