Utter defeat. My head is hung low in shame. Well to be fair chat/guides told him about the weapon art so in reality he changed his tactics to weapon art spam 2 win. Pure cope I know

Remember:

Using a summon against a boss that heals on hit which kind of balances it out = cheap

Completely turning off a boss by chaining an art that always knocks down = legit

its funny phil did the same basic strat for the whole fight but he managed to get the perfect rng for the start to work. over 100 tries, the strat finally paid off

live by the strat, die by the strat.

he could have beat malenia in 10 mins or he could have still been doing this for the rest of the month. but one thing would have been consistent, the jump R2 and ashes spam haha

That's every boss for him, face tank until you get lucky.

I’m assuming sarcasm here. He did it, fair play to him. If BB/Taken Flame spam is well-known cheese then From can patch it or let it remain. I suck dick at Soulsborne games and I just started ER so I’m not going to talk smack about how he did something I haven’t done.

We all got to watch him slam his face against a wall for hours, what more were you all wanting? He’s never going to throw the massive tantrum some seem to expect and tear his office asunder over a video game because he just doesn’t care that much. He knows he will find some way to win and then as soon as he does in his own mind he’s back on the same level as Let Me Solo Her or whomever.

Besides, he ragequit a Kirby game. We all got the salt we needed. He got buckbroke by a Nintendo game, fitting for how much he hates them. If you need more than that I think you’re investing more in Phil than he has in himself.

He literally used something to give him infinite FP, throwing away the only balancing aspect of ashes. It's cheese.

We got WAY more salt than we predicted. I thought he would beat Malenia in a single stream, judging by how the other boss fights went.

He wasted roughly seven hours, and died about one hundred times. The only thing he achieved was waste his and his viewers time.
The game gave him a dented Malenia so he could finally stomp her and fuck off. I swear the game felt sorry for him.

Edit: Going by Steam Achievents, 41.12% of players have beat Malenia. So it's really not that rare, special or hard.

Finished the game around level 120-130 and even then people said it was a bit too high
