Oh, for sure, being a streamer isn't necessarily easier for men either because they're still put on a constant pedestal. I've definitely seen it among streamers like Vinny and Jerma. But there is definitely an extra pressure for female streamers to "show tits or gtfo".

People call the women "empowering!!" for being so openly sexual, but I only see really deep-rooted insecurity (and possible sexual trauma). It's difficult to believe that they do this because they genuinely want to, and not because they lavish in getting male attention. It's really upsetting, honestly.

There's also a huge amount of hypocrisy because they claim to hate 'fujoshis' and girls who enjoy yaoi when... yaoi literally is made for women, by women. It's not some kind of shocking revelation, it's been that way for years.

I know a lot of trans men whose views on male homosexuality are obsessive over who's the "uke" and who's the "seme", and don't realize cis gay men don't act this way whatsoever and are probably completely embarrassed by it. It's difficult to take you seriously as a gay man when it's thru a fetishistic lens.

Those are literally just tumblr things. Like that was how people talked on tumblr before it died (maybe the ones still there still do talk like this. But it’s kind of cringe and out of date regardless).

It’s no big revelation that social media platforms develop their own little language quirks. “Thanks for the gold, kind stranger!” “This ain’t it bro” and so forth. The ones in that quote are just tumblr language quirks, and to a lesser extent wider fandom ones.
