British Young teens are borderline feral, they tend to chill out once they hit 16 since actual ramifications occur (My old neighbor once waited for someone's 16 birthday to break the legs of the local kid who shot his cat .) But until then they're often vile.

Jims 'interesting' appearance means he's an obvious target for the little fuckers. I don't think anyone deserves to be harrased in public but I am surprised he didn't anticipate it considering he Seems actutely aware of the UK social issues and his absurd appearance Maybe because he only really engages with twitter he's oblivious to the actual grit and warts of British life.

Literally the only time I’ve ever been inconvenienced by anybody on a train is when I was on one with a few tipsy football fans on their way to a game that were singing extremely loud. Jim must look particularly freakish if he’s getting bullied by children on public transport.

As I understood it his character was a heel who openly antagonised the audience, so it seems weird he wouldn't team up with the Tory crypto-millionaire character.

I guess consistency and commitment to the craft was less important than the opportunity to shoehorn his politics into yet another avenue of his life.

This is almost certainly what happened. Like every other attention whore, Jim thinks he should get to decide on the specific type of attention he receives for his deliberately provocative behaviour.

(For the record, I also agree nobody deserves to be harassed in public, but when you go out of your way to make a spectacle of yourself you're basically daring people to fuck with you. Don't cover yourself in raw meat and jump in the bear enclosure then blame the bears for mauling you.)

Yeah I doubt a group of ferel chav kids would pass up an opportunity to ridicule the absolute shit out of Jim like they wouldn't with pretty much anyone else. They're generally easily ignored and going crying about it will only amplify the next encounter.

It's hard to make that argument when the people heckling you are a 4th your age. Not because his audience would call him out, their hearts would bleed cool-aid over Jim getting the wrong kind of soda at a Wendy's. But the dopamine and Jim's fragile ego? Letting literal teenagers get the better of him is impossible to justify.
