After reading the whole article it sounds pretty badly thought out since it was a town that previously burnt figures deemed to be bad, such as Kim Jong Un and Gaddafi though they chose this one because they believe gender and diversity are important topics.

So, yeah; didn't seem to be intended as a sign of hatred but was a stupid idea as burning an effigy is not the best way to show support

It's the Allen brickworks in Hipperholme. It's common spot with "urban explorers".

Here's a series of pictures by one "explorer", it's certainly an aesthetic location.

Of course the benefit for Jim is you can drive right up to the place so there isn't much walking ti get there nor is there any real obstacle to just walking in.

I'm not Swiss, but it looks just like a good bit of fun and reminds me of the Lewes Bonfire which is great fun (they burn effigies of current event stuff). They try spin it as only focusing on negative stuff but looking at the Kim Jong-Un one it looks kind of goofy and making light of what was a current event.

Pretty much, the entire of British society is subtly structured to protect and nurture southern upper middle class people and the aristocracy. British wokeness is modelled on the fact some of those people are now brown or gay.
It gets really interesting when you look at our media and notice that diversity is modelled on London rather than the country at large.

Jim occasionally gets it right when it comes to the inherent greed of the gaming industry and what lengths the industry will go to keep the easy money flowing. I'll give him that (despite being something that's been part of gaming since it's inception)

The first issue is Jim fell into the Twitter trap. He has a large platform, therefore it's his responsibility to stand up to what he perceives as injustice. Even if that percieved injustice is something the trans community wanted only to walk back on when they finally got it through their skulls that doctors weren't lying to them

The second issue is Jim is very much a 'do as I say, not as I do' person. Consumerism is a problem when everyone else is doing it, not him. He only an individual who's small purchase doesn't keep the company afloat, therefore it's fine.

Jim hates corporate greed and the inherent issues that corporate greed brings. Only to openly support Google, Twitter and Pateron despite the laundry list of shady practices these megacorporations employ on the regular. As long as it makes Jim money and gets him asspats, his hypocrisy is quietly swept under the rug.
