That's right, you tell those stupid transphobes Jim.

After reading the whole article it sounds pretty badly thought out since it was a town that previously burnt figures deemed to be bad, such as Kim Jong Un and Gaddafi though they chose this one because they believe gender and diversity are important topics.I bet this is super out of context and missing a whole cultural layer?
So, yeah; didn't seem to be intended as a sign of hatred but was a stupid idea as burning an effigy is not the best way to show supportThe master of ceremonies explains: “People should be able to decide for themselves what exactly was burned. With Facebook, you can now choose your gender from a selection of many many options. It was the same with the Böögg this year. It has different characteristics and there is something for everyone. So "the" Böögg is probably the wrong article in this context. We called it Diversity Böögg.»
Gender and diversity are currently important topics, which is why they wanted to take them up, says Weiss. The organizers no longer wanted to mention Corona as a topic and the Ukraine war also seemed inappropriate, since the Sechseläuten was a happy and funny occasion
There is one. Podquisition. Thats essentially what it is.It would be less effort, and better quality if she just did a 45 minute podcast,
Never heard of Böögg but I love it now.
It's the Allen brickworks in Hipperholme. It's common spot with "urban explorers".The fuck is she filming now?? From the stage at a Blade Runner rave to a warehouse from the Blitz, where the locals probably go dogging at midnight.
I'm not Swiss, but it looks just like a good bit of fun and reminds me of the Lewes Bonfire which is great fun (they burn effigies of current event stuff). They try spin it as only focusing on negative stuff but looking at the Kim Jong-Un one it looks kind of goofy and making light of what was a current event.I bet this is super out of context and missing a whole cultural layer?
They sure couldn't burn a Troon though or the police would be on them. Those guys who made a gentfell tower bonfire a few years back got a 10 week suspended prison sentence for their wrongthink.I'm not Swiss, but it looks just like a good bit of fun and reminds me of the Lewes Bonfire which is great fun (they burn effigies of current event stuff). Yeah there's no way they'd get away with it nowadays but back in the mid-2010s they easily could've.They sure couldn't burn a Troon though or the police would be on them. Those guys who made a gentfell tower bonfire a few years back got a 10 week suspended prison sentence for their wrongthink.

And as a cishet northern white working class male I just get fucked either way.I’ve said it before, but the UK is what happens when a society built on class and hereditary privilege tries to go woke.

Well there is a reason we call them champagne socialists isn't there. They sit in apartments in London that are worth more than all the houses on the road I live on combined and tell me how horribly privileged I am.It gets really interesting when you look at our media and notice that diversity is modelled on London rather than the country at large.
