By now it should be clear that I enjoy history especially Erin Reed's history of drug abuse and drug dealing. I like understanding the context to events, the motivation, like when Erin Reed admitted being transgender was his fetish. This is, I would humbly suggest based on my previous posts, bad for Tony.
To be fair to Tony, his latest historical victim was a male crossdresser who for part of his life passed himself off as a woman. Well done Tony, you dialled down the difficulty for your next attempt at the History level. His mistake, as always and as ever, is misapplying his 21st-century postmodernist views to interpret the motivations of people born 300 years ago.
Enough waffle. Tony has a TikTok on the Chevalier d'Eon (archive). As with Jennie Hodgers / Albert Cashier, Tony is not treading new ground by claiming the Chevalier as transgender. To its shame, Britain's National Portrait Gallery has done the same. (I'll refer to him as "the Chevalier" because, like every good inbred noble, he has six forenames and two surnames.)
Gary Kates is the historian with perhaps the most knowledge of the Chevalier. He found there was no evidence the Chevalier wore women's clothes before 1777, when he was forced to by Louis XVI. At this point the Chevalier was 49, so way past his spying career.
Rictor Norton, a gay historian (in both senses), writes that this was the result of a 1775 deal with Louis XVI in which the Chevalier would receive "a large state pension … on condition that D'Eon henceforth dress in the garments of the female sex." Norton also writes: "By June 1778 "she" was sick of dressing as a woman, and returned to France dressed as a Dragoon in March 1779, for which he was imprisoned for defying the King."
It appears the Chevalier believed women to be more spiritually pure, and so "becoming" a woman was perhaps a moral purification for him. One reviewer notes that "all the documents agree that – even when living as a woman – the Chevalier behaved very much like a man".
Perhaps we can view the Chevalier as a proto-autogynephile, with Kates noting that the Chevalier reinvented his history to support his claim to be a woman. Just over a decade ago, it was uncontroversial to refer to the Chevalier as "a genuine cross-dresser, an 18th-century transvestite". Either way, today's notion of "transgender" does not apply.

God I love this thread.
If I had any criticism for this masterpiece, it would be that you didn't draw the eyeliner shittily enough and gave his eye-caterpillars too much arch. The entire mouth area is actual perfection though.

First, on paramedic Mrs Bridge Troll. If you haven't seen the previous post on Steve "Steph" Meech do read it, just for the video of him lumbering towards his ambulance like an ogre. Tony seems to think his "dying to own the libs" is a killer diss, which I don't get, am I missing some crucial Yank context as to why this is great? (TikTok, archive)
But the star of this post is really Tony's video on "fake science", which has all the problems I outlined previously. Not one for learning from his mistakes, is our Tone. Tony claims that "all major medical organisations have said transgender healthcare is safe and effective", which is trivially false. (TikTok, archive)
Anyway, please watch this because it contains a truly spectacular phrase which I won't spoil:
