Jazz said he wasn’t sure he wanted to continue with advocacy, and Sander interrupted and said Jazz would. Jazz backed down immediately in the face of brothers insistence. Jazz answered a question eloquently, and Sander gets the same question. He starts by saying his jaw had dropped at Jazz’s answer, it was so powerful, but then went on to say he didn’t have the luxury to feel like Jazz and proceeded to very subtly put him down. Jazz noticed, as did I.

Jazz's face showed he knew exactly what Sander was doing through the interview. He rolled his eyes, looked off camera and once took a deep breath.

Sander is a nasty little fuck who hates women, hates his “sister,” wants the fame Jazz had and cannot hide it. Jazz can’t quit because that means nobody will pay attention to Sander.

It wasn’t long, and I recommend watching and paying attention to their facial expressions and body language along with their words. Jazz is still as verbally gifted as he was as a child, seemed to have faced some demons and is working through it, is at least willing to admit his problems, and perhaps just wants to live his life with what he has, out of the public eye. Sander is already bitter and nasty and is going to use Jazz as much as possible.

He came out as straight AGAIN in that interview. I figured he would, but I think it was at his first question. He is such a good ally that he is terrified of anybody mistaking him as homo. Dude picked this cause as his hook to get social media fame but he’s actually phobic about the whole thing. As Batty Boy said so eloquently, he’s definitely on the wrong everything.

We have said Jazz is like a kid who never grew up, and in some ways that’s true. He’ll never understand adult sexuality and will always confuse it for Disney romance. However, he definitely understood the undercurrents of Sander’s comments, did a good job of controlling his anger, and he does seem to be trying to make the most of what he’s been left with after Mommy brainwashed and destroyed his body. Somehow, Jeanette missed a small part of his brain alone in her grasp for attention and it seems healthy. He may be childlike in some ways, but was certainly more emotionally and intellectually mature than Sander. (Not saying that’s difficult, obvvy.). If he finds a creative outlet that he’s good at (not mermaid tails) he might find a peaceful life and a few friends that have nothing to do with activism, and I think that’s what he wants.

It’d be funny if Jazz detransitions. That’d leave Sander so confused he’d probably join the Proud Boys. His whole life is tied to his sister, which he resents, and his mother, whose approval is air to him and yet he resents that too. I don’t know how Griffen is as unscathed as he is, except I’m starting to believe that twin to twin transfusion thing really did suck a bunch of IQ points off Sander.

I remember the episode, several years ago , when the twins were still attending UF and Griffen had a new girlfriend and was separating himself as an individual. Sander seemed all out of sorts about it. It seems like he never developed a personality or identity separate from his twin and this is the result.

It's crazy that he could be so coddled still. The US college system where students live on campus, with a 'house parent', seems ridiculous- it's delaying adulthood, and like being at endless school camp, like they're 11. For students who are terrified of The Real World, they're going to be resistant to everything but what they know. If Sander had been forced to move out of home, to a sharehouse, he likely wouldn't be so immature and spoiled.

I think Jazz likely feels embarrassed or a twinge of normal shame and has no idea what it is. There’s no way someone who has lived like that would develop a normal way of recognizing & considering their own emotions. I’m sure she finds her mother embarrassing as fuck, who wouldn’t?

Part of the tragedy of Jazz is that he’s smart enough to have an idea of what’s normal. He knows young women go to university, have jobs, have friendships, relationships, sex. He has an idea of what that looks like and wants it for himself because being a normal girl was always the aim.

I suspect that Jazz comes across the way he does because of how Jeanette treats him. While blockers do decrease IQ, he seems a lot more naïve, lazy and stupid than Kim Petra or NikkiTutorials who had similar medical interventions.

What’s particularly sad is that he used to be a lot more similar to his peers. When he was younger he seemed to have genuine friendships and connections with other kids. He’s watched all his old friends grow up into functional adults while he’s only grown outwards and increasingly dependent.

It's in part due to Jeanette's narcissistic personality and part to her being used to exploit Jazz' negative emotions for the show. A normal well-adjusted kid doesn't create drama, but Jazz being emotional and having obstacles to beat will create a plot. Jazz seem to be walking away from that behaviour, but Jeanette might never do.

And they don't dismiss Jazz' emotions. Remember when he had a mental breakdown because he couldn't write his graduation speech. He called the whole family for a family meeting to tell them he was feeling anxious. Only Jeanette and Sander seemed really (or not so really) worried about him, while the rest couldn't give a shit, but were all trying for the show. They all were there, though.

The problem is, I think, that they don't know how to deal with Jazz when the cameras are off. They are (or were) unable to give Jazz the attention he needs as the main character of a tv show. In a normal sibling situation, they would have laughed at Jazz or tell him "do whatever, who cares".
