I don't think the economy is the reason why women and men decide not to have children. I think the main reason is that without children being a necessity, there will always be about 1/3 of the population that just can't be bothered. Almost all your ancestors had to balance being parents with having to hunt, farm, and fight to survive., 2/3 women in Japan are still able to figure out how to be mothers even with the current state of society. The issue is figuring out why 1/3 of men and women decide to not have children.
I've read several interviews and studies with women who have decided to be childless, these were European women, and not Japanese women, but I still find what they stated illuminating. In most examples the ones in their early 20s did state their personal economy a lot, but as they began having careers in their late 20s and early 30s that stopped being an issue, and it wasn't the career that stopped them either. Most of the women who decided to be childless stated they didn't want to worry about it. They thought it was a lot of pressure, and it's just easier to not have children of your own to raise.

The assassin was confirmed to be former Navy right? I'd say it's quite plausible he was familiar with English at least to the point that he could easily recognize english characters and translate unfamiliar words from English to Japanese via Google.

Google claims less than 30 percent of Japan's residents can speak English. And due to the internet Japan's residents at least know the ABCs to type in URLs.

But I don't know shit, maybe moonrune users just type in their Kanji into a search engine.

I have to say that I kind of agree with this. I just don't want to be bothered. I had to to partially support my loser sister's kids and that was enough for me. Nothing against the kids. But it was enough work even with my mom helping out. I feel like I already did what I was put on this Earth to do with kids.

When the birthrate is falling and not enough people are up for kiddos usually you end up with third worlders being imported. I don't see Japan loading up on rapefugees any time soon. But it would be sad to see it happen. Especially since they refuse to even try to respect your culture or language I'm not anti-immigration but I feel like importing tons of people from poor backwards countries is always a mistake. Every Japanese person knows the english alphabet and numbers as well as a few key words. We have an entire alphabet for foreign words so a lot of japanese people inherently know more English than they think they do. (If you're ever stuck in Japan not knowing a word say the English word in a Jappy way and they usually will understand.) Smartphones have changed this further and made English more accessible.

Garakei (flip phones) were super easy to text in Japanese because of how the alphabets work where they sucked dick for English. Smartphones now come with optional keyboards that you can switch easily to use romaji or the garakei layout. My non-english speaking ex gf used romaji layout just because she did. These keyboards also usually have an option to put whatever you type into an English word so you can use Google-sensei to tell you what a word is. It's way easier to translate something from English to Japanese just from looking at letters than it is opposite way around because that requires a kanji dictionary and basic understanding of Japanese language.

If you do a bunch of international shit on your computer there's optional layouts for keyboards to be able to handle foreign languages. You can also region lock your computer to another country if a website bans a region from using it. I'm positive some DIY shits or gun sites ban Japan and if you want the gg ez reach around just do that. I had to do this both ways for accessing some of my retarded games.

Basically, it takes a very mild amount of finesse to find this information. While Japan can net nanny you to an extent, finding country banned information isn't some deepweb shit.
