RDrama is getting worse by the day!

Problem 1: Jannie Civil War

I'm not sure how much of this is an actual problem/how much of it is carpathianflorist being an overly dramatic faggot, but it appears that some of the janitors are starting to think the site is srs bznz.

Whether we care or not, the userbase is typically treated to 1-2 janitor tantrums per day, as follows:

Some site admin (usually carp) will mad/sadpost about a feature or decision that they do not like, some dramatic blowup will ensue, and casual shitposters like myself will roll their eyes as people reference off-site discord conversations and change site functionality on a whim.

Probably the best example of this was carp threatening to flounce if the ghost award was not removed, which was a very cool post award that you could use to anonymize every post on a thread, to counteract attention-whoring by powerusers. The award ended up getting scrapped, which led to...

Problem 2: Discord users, and Namefagging, oh my!

Since every community these days has to have an off-site discord for no reason, rdrama has an off-site discord! Why does a zero effort shitposting website need a discord? Because some people are terminally attention starved and need to form cliques for validation.

This has, predictably, led to some users building up personas and in-jokes on discord and then inflicting them on users of the website. These spectacularly unfunny faggots then get updooted because people know them from discord, which gives us great frontpage content such as this!

If you see a comment chain with a bunch of signature blocks that are just large meme images, skip it, because odds are that it's going to be 50 or so comments worth of discord chads pinging each other.

Imagine how much better Kiwifarms would be if older users just pinged each other into threads and shit them up with 30 pages of bad in-jokes

Problem 3: Meta posting

"State of the Website" posts from users, usually in the form of "there are TOO MANY RIGHTOIDS on RDRAMA". Self referential posts about the state of r drama, like this one:

Well Kiwi Farms hasn't been invaded the same way other websites did which I found to be very weird, it probs did, but my theory is each time a new user from rdrama.net showed up he got banned immediately which TBFH I would need an admin to confirm or deny.

The fact that the sign up button is gone might be indicative of exactly that bein' true, tho it could be a mix of that + an assortment of shitposters unrelated to the site since nobody here clearly likes the poltard refugees from the Thunderdome.

What content would it generate if they did? KF is like their weird uncle, the forum is a drama commentary site just like theirs is so everyone here is here for the same reason they're there. It's the same shit just with a different board culture. And when it comes to cultural differences I don't see anyone aggrieved about that in any big drama community. Sometimes forum users get teased for moralfagging about directly trolling cows but that's the extent of it, there's not that much animosity out there.

I joined specifically for this thread, if you can scroll a few pages back I literally said "I'm new here" (but not new to the community, I've just always been a filthy lurker). This is also the first forum I've seen which uses this Facebook-tier interact system (it's kind of stupid ngl but hey, a forum's a forum)

I've only really posted in the off-topic threads some, I guess this site isn't fully for me; or I'm just too time constrainted to spend an hour or 2 on here (I've been working on my own software, one of which is a Fediverse frontend, another of which is where I'm rewriting rDrama's frontend code).
